Haunted mansion 40th anniversary

i know its a lil soon to ask but has anyone heard anything about the 40th ann.? its next year aug 8th if i remember correctly...and im already excited! im startin ta save my pennies NOW!

I always remember the month and day mainly because it's my hubby's birthday. I can't wait until next year - we won't be going to DL though, but we'll be going to WDW over Thanksgiving week in '09.

How does a refurbishment sound? Not Florida-style (sadly) but a nice one nonetheless..

Well, you'll get to see the Hatbox Ghost as the main character in the Pin Event. I've heard they are making him a pretty figure with the merchandise. If you look at a post in the Merchandise Forum for HMH 15th anniversary you will see a Disney Artist has spilled the beans on the mention of an actual event for the Mansion next year. I have not heard about a refurb, but it doesn't need one. I think Disney will be releasing some info on the Gallery website soon, so keep your eyes open!

I'm aware of this, dude. I'm not talking about the regular load-out/tune-up refurb.

And I heard that an Audio Animatronic is no match for a wooden baseball bat to the head.

Thank You! Seriously, a few more tweaks and DLs is on par with WDWs again. It's not THAT much better.

It's just that WDW's was THAT bad before. It's like night and day.
