Question 1st Wedding Anniversary Oct 25th. Help!

Hi Everyone! I'm new to the forums and really need some advice. I just got surprised by my husband with a trip to Disneyland for our 1st wedding anniversary on Oct 25th!! I'm so excited. My husband and I love Disneyland so much and have been there many times together.
My question is for anyone that has celebrated their anniversary's at Disneyland if they have any advice for us on making this DL trip extra special and stand out among the rest?? We will not be staying at a DL Hotel, we have a family friend that owns property in the area and will be staying a condo they own. So we can't purchase a romance package from a hotel. I also heard of getting Anniversary buttons to wear to DL. Can I get those at DL or is that from the hotel??
I'll be happy to hear from anyone. I just can't wait for this trip!! The countdown begins!!! haha

Get your anniversary buttons from City Hall.
Get a couple silhouette done on Main Street (great souvenir).
Have a special meal together somewhere?

    And CONGRATULATIONS! =D

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

    1) Make reservations at the Blue Bayou for dinner. Get a table by the water. Tell them it's your first anniversary!
    2) Go for a ride on the Lilly Belle, and feel special. It's an antique railroad car, recently restored. Just ask the conductor, tell them about your anniversary.
    3) Ride in the front car of the Monorail, up in the bubble if you ask!
    4) Enjoy a stolen smooch on the Haunted Mansion, or another dark ride.
    5) Get a fun photo together on Splash Mountain.
    6) At DCA, ask to sit in the front car of California Screamin'.
    7) At DCA, ask to sit in the top row, dead center glider of the Soarin' Over California ride.
    8) Get a photo with your favorite character.
    9) Hold hands, don't let go and just enjoy yourselves!!!

What city is the condo in? Besides Disneyland there are a lot of other romantic choices to choose to do in the area.

Get over dramatic romantic photos taken in front of Aurora's castle with one of the CM's snapping the photo using PhotoPass. Have your man dip you like in the romance novels. Embrace in a still life passionate kiss. Go wild but tame wild with the various options of poses you and your husband can take in front of the castle.

Take an hour in the day to seperate in Main Street. Buy each other an anniversary gift in the various shops without the other seeing. Then later present the gift over dinner at the Blue Bayou. You may want to set some spending ground rules before you do this, like nothing over 20 bucks or nothing over 100 bucks, whatever your spending habits are for the day.

Go into the pins shops and shop for a "diamond pin" or something that is expensive in the terms of pins, a shiny one, one suitable for a "groom" while the other suitable for a "bride" in terms of the design and color palette. Think of it like putting the rings on each other's fingers except you'll be pinning each other at some locale inside Disneyland, like for say a boat ride through Storybook Land.

Don't forget to shop for a home while on Storybook Land, have the wife pick out a home and get a photograph of you both with it in the background.

All kinda cheesy but still fun in very acceptable in the land of Mickey.

I love it! I love all the great ideas, thank you! I am no way that creative and the cheesier the better I will definitely be doing some of these!!

To DisneyIPresume, we will be staying in Newport Beach. I don't really have anything planned to do in that city yet.

    Thanks to everyone's great ideas!
