Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

New update today on DisneyGeek. Kinda funny how they are starting with the rim first on the left ear.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

Is the wooden boardwalk, that has been planned to be
underneath the loading platform for the Silly Symphony Swings,
still going to be built? Or has the budget for that portion
of the project been reallocated?

^I think that boardwalk is still supposed to be happening, it sure looks like it from the demo they're doing.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

I was thinking the same thing, but they should since they can't have the whole area as a wooden boardwalk, it'd add a little more realism to have few parts have wooden boardwalks.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

I also think that getting the queue off the walk-way and in a covered place is a big priority for the Swing project, so I think that's why they'll keep it. It will also help tie everything together since hopefully they'll expand the boardwalks even more in the future. I'm also wondering how it will tie in with the Rustworthy and Beer Garden area.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

Yea, I really can't wait to see the finished product. Will the queue also serve as a viewing area for the WOC show? It looks like they're gonna work on the projects around the edge of the bay first since they're working on WOC anyway.

^No. Or it won't be intended too. The huge screens will be facing directly towards the viewing area so the only other good area might be just after the restaurant.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

Do we have any word on which/if attractions will be shut down for the show? There was rumor a while ago that Mickey's Fun Wheel would be an integral part of the show. Does this mean, if it is indeed true, that this will have to be shut down for the show? Anything else?

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

The queue under the new Swings will be great. The Orange Stinger has had some decent lines, even during the week, which spill out into the walkway. With the new Swings, i would imagine the ride will be even more popular, especially if they have those special effects (lighting, smoke) that are mentioned on some concept art in the Blue Sky Cellar.

With raging fires going on in the bay, personally I would be shocked if they don't close Screamin down nightly. As for Fun Wheel. I think it might close down to due the the close proximity of all the effects.

The S.S rustworthy should be getting removed at some point.

I know, I meant former Rustworthy area, sorry if that wasn't clear.

I hope Screamin' doesn't close, I think it would be awesome to ride during the show. I don't think they have said anything official about ride closures yet.
