Take another look from another angel and you will see the elevation is correct.

I'm not saying that it will happen, or that it should happen. I am simply debating the fact that yes, it is possible to do. If I understand you correctly, k_peek, you are debating more the emotional side of should they, is it really going to happen? as opposed to the more technical, could it actually be done? If so, then I think that might be where some of the disconnect in this discussion is.
I'm saying, I don't think it can be done in TDS because their lagoon is a major part of the park. They have rides that go through it, boat's in it, and a massive daytime lagoon show. Where as DCA's lagoon is just a concrete pit with nothing, that's why it is so easy to install in DCA. Again we just have to wait and see, you never know what OLC has up their sleeves.

I remember being able to say that about the Imagineers.

Who do you think designs OLC's attractions? The suits at the OLC aren't going to pull off any technological wonder. They just sign big checks. The fact is that if OLC wants a clone of WoC all that means is DCA is finally getting WDI's best, trully world class attractions.

Listen, folks, if you're trying to make DCA a legitimate park and a must-see for everyone, quit cloneing it's attractions! Honestly, what big rides does it have that ISN"T somewhere else at WDW? Let's see.

ToT - Cloned at DHS (although to be fair, I think DHS had theirs first?)
Soarin' - Cloned at EPCOT
GRR - Cloned and renamed at AK (Not sure if AK had theirs first though)
It's a Bugs Life - Cloned at AK
Muppets 3D - Cloned somewhere; DHS?
Screamin' - Same launch system as R&R at DHS, and just a generic rollar coaster otherwise

Am I missing anything?

If WDW gets TLM or WOC, I will be TICKED. Give them their own, unique attractions...quit stealing DCA's!
Most of the Magic Kingdom was cloned from Disneyland. I doubt WOC is coming to WDW however TLM probably will.

If they decide to put a new lagoon show into TDS, then the current one becomes moot as it will be leaving so shutting it down to replace it isn't a problem. And shutting down the boats isn't a problem either. So people have to walk a little further for a few months. It's just as easy to do at TDS as it is here... they just have to decide to do it.

^He is referring to Legend of Mythica I believe. So the night time water show would be obsolete but then the day time would go down too. And the park wasn't designed for Parades I believe.

Which show is really a non issue, if they are taking one out, they simply don't show the other during that time. And they don't run the boats and people simply walk. It's a bit of an inconvenience, but it is completely, totally, 100% doable.

Now it will be interesting to see if TDS actually wants it.

And more than anything, I'm excited to watch as they start installing pumps and canon in the lagoon at DCA.

I really don't see TDS ruining the lagoon that provides the stage for their water based extravaganzas just for a copy of a show at one of Disney's weakest parks.

But, as I mentioned earlier, they COULD have the jets be retractable, like the Bellagio's show, that would allow for their other water shows, if they REALLY felt that the show was worth the expense.

But just replacing all their amazing shows with WOC just doesn't sound like anything I think they would do.

yes it does, those roofline was given curves so that the air conditioning system would not be seen from certain angles when walking on the pier and across the bay. The show building is also quite large and reached the bottom portion of the loop. The whole building was painted a brown color to help it blend behind the coaster.

here is an aerial view of the back of the building showing the curvature roofiline. you could turn the picture and see the front but it har to see with the coaster in front of it

it actualy does go up into the loop area. the elevation art does not show it going up into half the loop. It only shows it covering 1/3 of the bottom exactly how it was built

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

Quick note:

The OLC company that runs the tokyo resort has been very interested in many of the Anaheim offerings.

They were the ones that decided that they wanted a clone of DCA's Tower of terror over the DHS version. WDI then redid the storyline and look to match the japanese culture and surrounding it would be built in.

OLC has also shown interest on several of the entertainment offerings that Disneyland resort has presented including some of the parades.

That is why people are hearing rumors and information about some attraction clones like soarin and toy storymidway mania.

They have also shown interest in some of the future ideas that were being worked on for Anaheim.

OLC tends to favor Anaheim resort additions over Orlando additions. It could be because of the nostalgia factor with the Anaheim resort or it could be because the Anaheim resort is basically one of their direct competitions for Japanese tourist that visit Anaheim over Orlando. Obviously WDI tends to take the projects one step further because OLC has until now been much more willing in raising the budgets for their attractions

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

Quick note:

Several of the WDI working on the DCA expansion plans actually were the ones that designed TDS. some of them are even still very much involved in the additions at the Tokyo resort

Actually, for it's first few years TDS ran a few special event parades, at least two that I can remember. They haven't tried again in recent years though, perhaps it was too much of a hassle and they decided to focus on special event shows centering on the lagoon and the temporary stage at Waterfront Park.

This is my personal favorite TDS parade, Dramatic DisneySea 2004: Style!
