Didn't they remove it very night and put it back in the morning for a delayed afternoon opening of Screamin' during TSMM construction? That's what I heard; on here, I believe. Good thing I didn't know that when I was riding Screamin' back then, otherwise I might have been too wary to brave the loop so many times, lol!

go through darkbeer's galleries in the correct time period of TSMM construction and you'll find them.

Dang! This is news to me too. I've been going through darkbeer's photos with no luck. Anyone have a more specific timeframe than just the entire construction? What was the purpose of removing the loop? To get heavy machinery in for early steel? Or to put the final touches on the building facade?

Gymfan15, That is impossible. No, the screamin delay was for general TSM construction. I think the loop had something to do with major foundation work.

No, they removed the loop for TSMM construction. Not every night, I don't think, but they did remove it.

I've added a new Electrical Parade entry following the recent news from Blue Sky Disney. For the longest time I wasn't sure if I should make an Electrical Parade entry, and I didn't know where I should put it since Al Lutz reported last year that the parade would be making its way back to Disneyland.

But the latest info (which is what I always stick with) is coming from Blue Sky Disney this time, and everything being said indicates the parade will stay at DCA.

Sooo... the Electrical Parade entry will be in the DCA Project Tracker unless plans change again and the parade goes back to Disneyland.

Anyway, here's the new entry:

Disney's Electrical Parade enhancements

Details: A new Tinkerbell lead float will replace the Blue Fairy, and rumors suggest the Dumbo's Circus floats will be replaced with a new Snow White unit and the parade soundtrack will be updated.

Holy cow, we certainly have hit the 2K mark! -- and we haven't even gotten into the nitty gritty of construction -- they just barely broke ground in Paradise Bay!

The rumor on the parade about the dwarfs moving to a float is disturbing to me. Having them 'in tow' and performing at street level has always been a big part of their character representation. Having them just be waving riders is really going to neuter their projection of character

^I believe the dwarves used to be in mine carts, rolling along in the parade. Is this what they are bringing back, or an actual float?

The dwarfs were on a float in the Main Street version.
