So, has the sun-wheel closed yet?

I was in the park Monday afternoon and asked a Cast Member when the Sun Wheel was (finally) going down and she told me that day was the last day of opperation, so the fun should finally be setting into paradise pier...

In a related story, I actaully rode the Sun Wheel one last time when the attraction actually went 101 for a couple minutes. I was at the (windy) top on my fourth (yes, fourth) trip around the sun when I heard the queue evac spiel. I ended up completing my fifth and final trip around the sun 35 minutes after boarding my swinging gondola.

My heart has stopped and I am in awe over how wonderful this all looks!

One thing that really stands out to me is the opening up a pathway between Hollywood Blvd and Fliks Fun Fair/Carsland. This is thrilling. People will be able to more more freely through the park. Oh, I am so thrilled for all this to come to fruition!

I know I'm a little late on all this already, but hey, at least I found it in the Micechat Round-up!

I believe the walkway will be opened between the tower and FFF but will not cut thru FFF.

There are plans to remove the gates between the tuck and roll attraction and heimlich and open up a passageway from FFF to Cars land.

At the moment i do not believe there will be direct access from tower to FFF.


SO Basically people will be able to go from the Tower courtyard into Cars Land. At a certain point they could continue south into the heart of Cars Land or make a right into Flicks fun fair/bugsland.

which of course means that people that go inside bugsland and into Flicks could go thru that land and into Cars Land then turn left to the tower courtyard or continue south to the heart of Cars Land.

I am so happy that "Claw" concept for Orange Stinger didn't make it through, but that Green Army Men parachute tower worries me. I don't want blatant Pixar things on the pier. Why can't they do something like an Oswald themed parachute tower, since that area is where Sky School (which looks much better in the slide show than the concept art we've seen), Fun Wheel, and the Swings are.

Oh, and I love the building that the carousel is in! And the pathway around the Fun Wheel's loading area is neat too!

Sounds great to me. It enables more room for people to move and easier access to other areas of the park. Thanks for sharing Baloo!

Wow, y'all got good eyes - that green army men parachutes is very hard to see on the first slide.

I do like the theming on Goofy's Sky School. Fits in well with TLM.

Wow, it really looks like there's tons of little details on the walls of the cellar now. Little notes and tid-bits. Going to have to spend some time going over them all.

The Mickey Fun Wheel queue changes are pretty significant. They are really building that out! I like it a lot.

I love that side elevation of Goofy's Sky School. Amazing how much better it looks with that great Victorian clapboard front and the gazebo tower above it. It goes from cartoon-y to classic.

Yeah, thanks for posting that midlockland. The new building for the carousel looks cool! I can't wait to see that model in person, it looks very well made.
