Wow! It actually looks really nice.

Seeing it in model form, the new Fun Wheel isn't as bad as I thought it would be and the Mickey-head-less coaster looks good as well.

Might have to check this out in December...

Oh, I noticed that there will be a mickey face on both sides of the Fun Wheel, as evidenced by this photo:



Notice the viewpoint? It's from behind Screamin'.

Can't say I'm a fan of that idea, it will likely look odd to see three dimensional Mickey faces poking out of both sides.

Oh I love that idea. I always found it weird that they didn't have something on the back.

I love the new carousel building.

So it looks like the model only covers the southern half of Paradise Pier. I was really looking forward to how the Beer Garden will fit into its space. However, the theming on Goofy's Sky School makes me think that the northern half of PP is going to be very well integrated with the whole.

because i couldn't find it on the concept poster. it just looked like cars land was in the spot where it was. that's why i got confused.

That map kind of stresses the changes more then the things that are remaining. They made Bugs Land and the Wharf tiny in that map. That's one of the things that I don't like that much about it. I guess it serves a purpose, but if they sell a park map like that I'd hope that it was a little better and more accurate.

Disney unveils plans to revamp California Adventure

A model at California Adventure's Blue Sky Cellar gives park guests a sneak peek at the changes coming to Paradise Pier Oct. 15. This pone features one of the biggest changes - The Sun Wheel face will be replaced with Mickey Mouse's head.

Wow very nice. i wish they would get rid of the sunwheel and the swings. Its looking really good so far.

Ok there's a lot to go through.... so here's a sampling.

-Carousel: WONDERFUL. Such a step up. Very happy about that.

-Mickey's Fun Wheel: Fine with it. It'll be the same ride but... "fun".

-Swings: love it.

-Goofy's Sky School: Okay what... that's.... that's really disappointing. Yah the victorian looks cool but it's the same basic non-engaging ride.

-Army Men Parachutes: Alright this came out of left field for me. Did not know about this at all. I mean... if there was a parachute ride, I guess the Army Men are the most suitable, but kind of takes away from the vintage classic Disney style of the entire land almost.

Can someone take better shots of that attraction?
