That fence is new, isn't it? And it looks like they're in the middle of putting it up - some bare low chain-link fence and some of the usual green view-blocking fence attached. But it's only a small part of the parking lot.

Anyway, I'm psyched!

One of the things the PP photos on DB's page caused me to think about was how much of the cliffs of Radiator Springs will be seen from PP, and how much of the view to outside the park wll remain. I really hope eventually they can build things to block out all of those views of the real world, it will really help complete the transformation of PP.

I didn't notice that but that would seem to align with what some people have said that the construction on the parking lot won't start yet, but they'll be using that area to store materials for the PP remodel.

Maybe this has been asked already but, are they going to reuse those structures in the lagoon (from luminaria) for the WOC show? or just demolish them completely and start from scratch?

It's suppose to be a staging area for some of the other projects. i have heard that the parking lot would most likely not see anything being done to it till mid to late 2009.

Hi guys, I spoke to a CM about some changes happening to DCA tonight. Im not sure if they are all known but here it goes.

1. the temporary entrance will be where the Limousine ride was. Maybe he meant next to it.

2.Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill will be moved to where the giant neon dragon is.

3. cars land entrance will be where those two giant gates are between farmers market and the tortilla factory.

4. Pacific Wharf Cafe will remain untouched.

I heard of this as well... anyone got confirmation? I'd love to see Cocina get a bigger selection, and they'd probably have enough room for a larger menu should they move the the Lucky Fortune Cookery.

I'm curious, why would they move Cocina Cucamonga to where Lucky Fortune Cookery is? What would replace the old Cocina Cucamonga spot?

And wasn't it decided that the temporary entrance would be on the Soarin' side? Al mentioned this some months ago. Has it been changed back?

I'd have to recheck the maps, but I would think it's possible that the Cocina building will be rethemed to a Cars Land building. I do know Al had said a while ago that some work at Lucky Fortune would be coming soon and the tracker says expanded dining facilities in the Wharf, so something is supposed to happen there.

Also, I thought the temporary entrance was going to be at the Condor Flats gate now. Has that changed or was this CM wrong?

Are they moving it because of the bag check issues? I'm guessing the other side is between the bag checks.

my guess would be that the CM was mistaken. Just because a person is a CM doesn't neccessarily mean he or she knows all. I trust Al's information ultimately...

Coast brings up a good point though. Are they going to have to adjust the bag check area to accommodate the temp. entrance?

The security tents are after that entrance way into DCA.
