They never call it Walt Disney's Epcot. The official name is Epcot Center but most people and park propaganda just call it Epcot.
No, the official name is Epcot. Disney OFFICIALLY changed the name back in 1996.
I doubt there is anything that would stop them from calling it "Walt Disney's".

I recall in my youth, when the animated features were released, only the ones that were made during Walt's life were labeled "Walt Disney's Classic". Those that came after were labeled "A Walt Disney Classic". Minor difference, but they still differentiated them somehow.

Are you sure? In the 1982 book, "Walt Disney's EPCOT: Creating the New World of Tomorrow", it is referenced as Epcot Center throughout. Only when referring to the acronym EPCOT or discussing Walt Disney's original vision do they use uppercase.
Wikipedia seems to bear this out stating that:
The theme park originally was known as EPCOT Center to reflect the fact that the park was built to embody the ideals and values of EPCOT the city. In 1994, the name was changed to Epcot '94 and subsequently Epcot '95 a year later. By 1996, the park was known simply as Epcot, a non-acronym, mixed-case word.

EPCOT Center or Epcot Center, it's just spelling. It's the same thing.
Here's how the names layed out:
Epcot Center - 1982-1994
Epcot '94 - 1994
Epcot '95 - 1995
Epcot - 1996
So.....This isn't where project funding is going, right? Figuring out the correct way of presenting the parks NAME??? They can't figure out a name???? Oh wow. No wonder the last major E-Ticket Dark ride was in the 60's. How can the people making big decisions be so indecisive?
