not really sure how that will work. MAybe they will be submerged.
I know that when they did luminaria they used air and wieghts for all the candle props in the water. The computer made all the candle features rise out of the water and brighten the area with flickering lights. Once the segment was over they submerged into the waters depth. They could very well do the same with some props that would rise from the water. It will be interesting to see in a couple weeks what kind of instalations they do at the bay once work trucks start rolling in
maybe it'll be like Luminaria's Christmas Tree, with a pit and separate water-free holding area for the big props.
Soo...when is WOC supposed to debut?
^That should be nice. What year is the Little Mermaid ride debuting?
Now what I am wondering is what they are going to do with screamin' during the WWOC. I mean the launch happens in the bay. So is screamin going to close early or will they just install a splash shield? Maybe the warning about getting wet will come into play again....
I don't forsee this as being a problem for the ride. Only if it is too windy, but then they may not put the show on due to the waterscreens not being right.
I am stoked to know that they are giving DCA such an amazing facelift. This show could really help DCA, and in turn maybe make the crowds more even in both parks. I am totally looking forward to seeing how this plays out!
I agree DL255, the big fountains are probably over 100' from Screamin's launch, I don't think it will be a problem. The Fun Wheel is the only ride I'm fairly sure will need to close.
I also agree with Alyssa, this will be a huge change for DCA that will have major impacts on the DLR as a whole.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with childrens toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You knowthe Mickey in us.

You know, when DCA opened everyone told me that it wasn't worth the money, but I happen to think it's a lovely place that adds a whole new facet to DL, but just needs a little more TLC. So far, I love all the new additions DCA is about to get and just hope it turns out as wonderful as it seems it will.

Do we have any idea when Scramin' will go down to remove the Mickey head?
