I think they should bring back Superstar Limo, but make it with 1920 actors and actresses.

You know, I honestly wish they wouldn't take the Maliboomer down. I mean, what is the point of that? The ride is awesome, gives you a beautiful view, and doesn't really take up much space. Is that space going to be used for something in particular?

I was a Cast Member at the time DCA opened and we were given free passes to attend a preview before it opened to the public. Now, it was new so the excitement was very high. We enjoyed Soarin', Screamin', and Grizzly Rapids, but not much else really entertained us. To this day, my wife and I still keep away from that park due to the fact that it really isn't worth it for us to leave Disneyland to go to DCA to ride 3 rides.

With the new concept art and work going on with DCA, it has restored hope that this will one day be a park that we will be wanting to visit on our trips. I hope this is the case.

I noticed a comment on Maliboomer from you and just wanted to say that for me, it is a cheap thrill of a ride. Yeah the blast off is fun, but it is 30 seconds of Wheee!!! for a 30-60 minute wait. Not worth the wait in my mind (sort of like Star Tours). If they get rid of it and make it a nice place to rest and watch the show, I'm all for that.

Ah, well for me and the group I brought to DCA/DL last September, we all tried it for the first time. I agree that it isn't a huge ride, but since we only waited for maybe 5 minutes it wasn't a big deal to us.

Also, we found that we really liked more rides like the Muppet 3D, ToT, and the interactive center (my daughter loved being the voice for diff toons). I agree that it doesn't hold up to DL, but I think it is still fun when you have 4 days like we did. ^_^

There are no rumors to date on when the changes to Screamin' will happen. My guess is that Disney is not sure or we would have heard some sort of rumor or leak by now. There is a lot to be done to Screamin' - redo the queue, some sort of make over for the station, remove Mickey head, add P Pier logo, add new sun face in the loop, and i would guess a general rehab to the ride in general (paint, systems upgrades, etc). So this will take a significant amount of time. But timing when to take this major draw for DCA down while so much else is going on I am sure is a tricky timing issue for park mgmt.

They may not need to close Screamin' to remove the Mickey or actually make the changes to it to the Paradise Pier label. That can possibly be done overnight, maybe causing Screamin' to have late openings, like it did last year when they were building Midway Mania. But it remains to be seen when they will actually do it. You'd think it would be soon after Mickey's Fun Wheel opens, beucause then it will be a bit redundant to have 2 Mickey heads right there practicaly next to each other.

^It might only be a one night project nut they'll do all the work on Screaming at he same time, not two different times. I'm guessing it will close by April.

DCA is still a place I go at least for a few rides before i go back to DL. I think i might be the only one but i hate to see the mickey head on the CS Coaster going bye bye...

Yes! maybe it can be a combination of superstar limo and the great movie ride at the hollywood studios!

Wasn't there mention a while ago of a webcam pointed across the lagoon at the wheel? Any word on this at all? Or is it merely for timelapse? I think it was Darkbeer who had a photo of it in one of his updates a few weeks ago.

I believe it is a time-lapse camera, not unlike what Disney did a couple years ago for the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage construction

That seemed the more likely possibility. I hope they release that footage when they finish. It was fun to watch the footage from the east-side of the Matterhorn when they did FNSV.

some of the bottom loop bars that the cars go on are red and they are starting on the back side of the wheel. I believe they repainted the sunnish part a brighter yellow and they are painting the rim of the wheel red aswell.
