![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II Yeah... the symbol of WDI is Sorcerer Mickey (well, on their nametags anyway).

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II RSR looks massive! It'll be amazing to see all of this become reality. Also, I noticed that Jumpin' Jellyfish is still there. Perhaps there was a change of plan and they are plussing it a bit to fit in with the Little Mermaid?

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II I noticed that the completed park map still shows Muppets, but what is the attraction where hollywood and dine used to be? It looks like an alligator driving a car. Anybody know what that might be? |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II A couple things I'd like to point out.... "Buena Vista Street" is definitely the new name of the park's entrance, NOT the previously announced "Walt Disney Plaza" ![]() The park map doesn't feature a Walt/Mickey "Partners"-style statue. Kermit the Frog is sitting atop Muppet*Vision 3D still, so plans for a replacement must not be a top priority... It looks like the Hyperion has gotten some new exterior detail theming... ![]() Check out the new walkway connecting the Tower of Terror, Flik's Fun Fair, and Cars Land! ![]() What's up with Sorcerer Mickey on the side of the "hub" ? Jumpin' Jellyfish is still there, but the Maliboomer is gone, gone, gone! ![]() The Beer Garden looks like a snazzy new glass building. And check out the nearby Goofy's Sky School. And World of Color fountains in Paradise Bay! And in Cars Land, the Luigi's Roamin' Tires appears to still be in the plans, despite some rumors that the problematic ride system might be too costly to bring up to 2008 standards. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II That's actually the Monsters building -- it's Randall in a Monstropolis taxi. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II At first I thought it was the Steve Buscemi monster (Randall?), but he's an odd choice of emblem over the titular Mile and Sulley. If it is him, is that a tiny Boo in front? |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II The map isn't entirely to scale so things are perfectly where they would be in a true map of the park. That Sorcerer Mickey is "roughly" the location of the Blue Sky Cellar (Sorcerer Mickey appears on all of the WDI nametags and is the de facto symbol of the department). And yes, that is Randal Bogs driving a Monstropolis Taxi. Not sure why they chose him other than he isn't HUGE like Sully or to tiny to see like Mike.

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II Just keep in mind that the map illustration is not to scale and takes on a more comic like approach of a bird's eye view of the park. There are many exaggerations to give a more whimsical appearance of the overall plan. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II It looks like there's a pathway that goes under the roads of RSR up to that little tent town! Now, that's awesome. Not just a big show building over there, but places to walk, things to see, and you're immersed in the attraction without even being on the ride. And there seems to be an extra show building that sits off by itself in front of the main show building in the back. It's the area just behind the little tent town (or whatever that is). EDIT: maybe that pedestrian pathway is just the queue for the ride with the loading area off to the right or in that new "car hood" show building.

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II Does anyone know what that building south of the round building in Carsland is? It didn't show that on any of the old maps or models. Also, does anyone know what the old farm buildings will have in them, now that it's clear that they are going to become more of a part of Cars Land? I'm also curious about the glass building in the Beer Garden area that MG pointed out. Anyone know anything about that? I'm also very excited about the Hyperion. I hope that is really going to happen in phase 1. |

![]() | Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II ![]() I like the look of the new plaza past Tot. And now we know more about how the transition form ToT and bugsland and carsland is going to look like...to me it seems that you cut right through the back of bugsland... |
