Let's hope that phase two gets approved quickly and the trackers can live on beyond that.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

Brady MacDonald over at the LA Times Funland Blog shares some info and concept art from the upcoming Blue Sky Cellar:

Disney’s California Adventure preview center sprinkles pixie dust before construction dust
A new preview center opening Oct. 20 at Disney’s California Adventure aims to tempt visitors with a sneak peek at coming attractions just as the Anaheim theme park prepares to undergo a massive $1.1-billion makeover.

Designed to look like the interior of an artist’s studio, Blue Sky Cellar will feature Walt Disney Imagineering models, sketches, concept art and videos of a nighttime water show, Little Mermaid dark ride, Cars Land themed area and overall 1920s Los Angeles retheming planned for the under-performing park.

Concept art of the Silly Symphony Swings shows the Orange Stinger ride reenvisioned with a Mickey Mouse theme based on the 1935 cartoon “The Band Concert.” The rethemed ride is expected to reopen in 2009.

Concept art of the Paradise Pier makeover evokes a 1920s California seaside amusement park with a continuation of the Victorian architectural styling previously introduced at the Toy Story Mania attraction.

Blue Sky Cellar replaces the Golden Vine Winery movie theater, located across from A Bugs Land.

You can find more Blue Sky Cellar images over at the Orange County Register.

And the Around Disney blog at the OC Register shares info along with a Photo Slide Show
New attraction will keep guests updated on DCA expansion
Walt Disney Imagineering is poised to open up its Blue Sky Cellar — a special attraction in California Adventure’s Golden Vine Winery.
The attraction will be set up like an architect’s studio. All sorts of information, plans and renderings will be available for guests to sift through — including models and video of the construction in progress.
We here at Around Disney will be there for a press event Wednesday — first on the scene before the Blue Sky Cellar opens to the public Oct. 20.
We’ll bring you a big photo slide show on Wednesday afternoon so you, dear readers, can be among the first to check out the latest California Adventure expansion plans along with us.
Disney Imagineers sent us the photos above as an even sneakier peak to pique our interest leading up to the opening next week.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker II

I never really noticed this is previous concept art, but it looks like you'll be able to walk out and around Mickey's Fun Wheel. Is that still in the plans?

BTW, great to have this wonderful thread continued! Now, I just wish we'd complete the trilogy and have a Disneyland Resort Project Tracker thread - I want to know about upcoming hotels, expansion of DTD, parking structure construction, etc.

Eventually I hope to add larger Resort projects in the Disneyland Project Tracker... but that'll take some time. Let's just keep it as it is for now ... I need a break!

Thanks for all the support in keeping these threads accessible, Dusty. Making them sticky certainly helped the Project Trackers, and for that thank you to you and the mod team!

I noticed the Jumpin Jellyfish are scheduled for removal however they appear in the background of the latest Silly Swings concept art. Were thet just drawn in for some context maybe?

Thanks MasterGracey for keeping the thread alive and updated! Love that we're on to PT Mark II.

I really like the new look of the Mickey's Fun Wheel area. The wooden plank decking will really tie it nicely to the rest of the pier area.
