Okay seriously though.... a log ride? Really? That's what has been leaked?
Yes. A friend of a current WDI Imagineer informed me - and quite a few other people have verified the validity of the rumor. WDI could avoid these leaks if only they would learn to keep their flies zipped up.

I bought it. It's going to replace an overpass in my town - connecting an industrial park on one end with a KFC and Chevron station on the other. Talk about fun!

I'm not sure how exactly a log ride will fit in to the pier... Personally I'd rather they put in an actual wild mouse but that's the thrill seeker in me.

I also agree with Aladdin's assessment of the zephyr and jelly being left alone. If anything I can see a much easier, and more exciting thrill... like a swinging ship themed to a dragon... and there is the tie-in to either Pete or Mushu... It would also fit a great deal better then the jellies and be more reliable then the zephyr.

Yeah. Imagineers are smart and everything. But, you don't necessarily want to shake hands with them. The way some of them are constantly leaking more information than Disney wants us to know - they must be incontinent.

Looks like the zephyr and jelly will be left alone. I love them both! So, that's alright with me. They've had a log ride at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk for years. It's a classic amusement park ride. It's a natural fit, and will likely be the most popular ride at that end of the park - except for possibly Little Mermaid. It will involve story telling as well.

Now about a log ride, don't we have one of those over in Disneyland? And don't we have a water/river ride called Grizzly River Run right there in DCA? I'm sure it fits into the pier theme, but how many log/innertube rides do we need?

That's what concerns me. I'm really hoping they won't go with the Santa Cruz route. A log ride can be very, very fun - see that other park across the esplanade - but it can also be very dull. The one at Santa Cruz falls into the latter category.

Well actually, I should have referred to it as a flume ride. Doubt that Disney will have two log rides per se at the same resort. Secondly, do you doubt that Disney has the magic to create a new flume ride with comparable story and punch as Splash Mountain? Oh ye generations of Mouse doubters.

I don't doubt that they've got the magic. I'm just hesitant to be too sure they'll decide to use it.

If Pressler and Harris were still around, I'd have the same concerns.
