>>how about putting Country Bear Jamboree in place of Redwood Creek Challenge? The theater would fit in there perfectly with room to spare for the queue and some theming.<<

Good idea! I think it's in the realm of possibility.

best of luck with the deciphering, I think you're going to need it - I think Disney meant to throw in a few undecipherable things in the map to draw our attention away from the things that are really wrong with the overall picture in this makeover.

are you insinuating that the changes aren't needed? Granted they could be a great deal better but I would rather have well defined themes then the haphazard crap we have now.

Au contraire, the CHANGES proposed don't go far enough.

As I said there is plenty more that can be done... but I am appreciative of the fact that something is being done.

I was only responding to your question, to make sure you didn't continue to misunderstand what I said.

I know, thank you for the clarification. I share your passion for more and your disappointment of what is being currently displayed. the reality is that some standards may never be met. Disney's willingness to properly address DCA with a combination of imagination and investment is at least a positive step in the right direction.

How can you ask for more than what they're doing? It's going to be absolutely spectacular!

A clear thematic direction would be nice. But yes, it will be spectacular.

The sad reality is that California holds so much promise for a theme park. Everything from The forest to the desert to the ocean. Unfortunately Disney doesn't see a way of showcasing this without direct movie tie-ins.

Agreed. As I've said before...massive kudos to them for apparently pulling out all the stops in terms of sheer quality and scope, but I'm having a difficult time forgetting that unfortunate detail about Cars Land and TLM being unrelated to what the park claims to be about.

Cars Land is related in the fact that it stems off the whole Route 66 type theming. TLM is related because they used to have very similar style dark rides (on a MUCH less grand scale) at old seaside amusement parks.

Re: First Look At the Blue Sky Cellar at California Adventure

Well, the CALIFORNIA letters are going away, and the Disney name is still associated with this park, so guests are going to expect to see Disney characters. That was one of the very 1st things Disney gave into, when DCA opened, so it's just really a song that started over 7 years ago. DCA's first (and probably ONLY parade without Disney characters was Eureka!, and it is sad that DCA won't see a parade like that again) Also consider how cartoonized DL has become over the years, the same thing was bound to happen to DCA.
