Why is DL open so late on 10/16?

Just wondering if anyone knows why DL is open til 11pm on a Thursday. I tried to search and couldn't find a thread with this. If there is, sorry!

I believe its because of Mickey's Trick or Treat Party going on at DCA

I thought of that as well, but the next 2 thursdays, they are closing at 8pm. And those are treat nights as well.

don't know. I was at the parks yesterday and noticed that on the times guide, but there were no signs or anything..

I agree with the others, I think it has to do with the trick or treat party. maybe, they are attempting to make up for the hours? Close one park for a party, keep the other park open for compensation?

Actually it is school vacations.

One big one is UEA, wich gives all of UTAH an extra long weekend, and many of them decide to head to Disneyland, also some other southwest schools have a long weekend.

It is because of UEA (Utah Education Association Convention). The kids are out of school until next tuesday. I have seen people at Disneyland on UEA weekend that I have not seen in years and they just live a few miles down the road from me. There is definitely a Utah presence at DL this weekend. Just wish I was one of them.

I'm going with what the other posters have said. For what it's worth, Disneyland was also open until 11:00 last Thursday.

Last Thursday was the Jewish holiday, Yom Kippur, which apparently there are some schools closed for. So it was very busy last week. But today, it was not that bad. But I would imagine Disneyland will be quite busy tonight after DCA closes at 5pm for the Trick or Treat party.
