Buildings and parking lots north of Pumbaa

North of the Pumbaa (I fixed the spelling! thanks Dan-tasmic!) Lot, there are a few buildings, one about three times the size of the other and with a pool, and a big parking lot to their west. They look somewhat like warehouses. Anyone know what those are?

North of that is a triangular space with a very short office tower and what looks to be a motel or apartment complex, both with parking lots attached. Anyone know what those are?

Finally, east of Mimi's is another apparently vacant parking lot.

All of these areas are west of Manchester Ave.

Reason I'm asking is because I'm of course scheming to have Disney buy these up to further expand the resort!

Dang! I knew I should have wikipedia-ed it. But I'm getting Pumbaa, with two a's not just one. Maybe that's why I put double O, I knew there was a double in there somewhere.

By golly, you are right. All this time, I thought it was only one "a."

    Carry on...............

Those buildings, I believe, are businesses. I don't think Disney should buy them out.

Google Earth has failed Data.... AHHH! It's a sign!

Anyways, I believe I can help you out Mojave... those buildings w/ a pool just north of the PUMBAA (don't wanna get that wrong now haha) parking lot is a business... I can't recall what the business name is, but I know its a business of some kind, because the front of the building faces the freeway, and its clearly a business. Not sure why they have a pool though...

This is the building here, I believe...
the circle driveway right against the freeway is the entrance.
Ok, I just clicked on this link, and it only shows a wider pic... click on the Pumbaa parking lot link and zoom in, then just go north to the first building you see above the lot. Sorry about that :oD

The other building farther north is just an office building, and a motel, just like you said. As far as I know, the tower is occupied... there's another office building past the TDA building that's been vacant for a while now... not sure if its been moved into though.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the info, everyone.

I can't understand why that one big business building has a pool either. I was thinking maybe it was a YMCA or something with a bunch of indoor gyms.

Anyway, that all just seems like a big waste of prime real estate, especially the large lots. I'm sure the business owners don't think so, though. Of course, being disconnected from Disneyland with hotel row in between is a problem, so I guess Disney would never get a hold of those spaces.

Incidentally, when did Disney buy the Pumbaa Lot?

businesses on s manchester ave. anaheim, ca - Google Maps

Well, according to google maps it is a company called Gyyr which pioneered closed circuit surveillance back in the 70s. GYYR (an Odetics Co)

They are related, in some way, to Honeywell Systems which is the website google maps pulls up for the company so I don't know if Honeywell bought them or the Gyyr parent company Odetics. But the two are related in some way.

Somehow, I don't think Disney is going to be able to buy them off the land.
