Can someone help settle this dispute?!

So my friend and I were chatting about what the most ridden ride at Disneyland has been since it opened back in 1955. Now HE says that it's the Disneyland Railroad which ok...I can understand why he would say that, but I think its POTC. Reason I say that is that it has a high and constant hourly capacity and it could easily take take over the title of most ridden ride at Disneyland even though it opend 12 years later.

    Anyone care to chime in?

I'd actually say Space Mountain. I've been through POTC a number of times where I just walked on and got my own personal boat. There's never been a time that I can think of that Space has had a walk on like that (well, you can walk in to the loading station and wait only a few minutes, but not your own rocket). I know this factors in but not sure how much it affects it, Space has 12 seats per rocket while POTC has 22 seats per boat.

    Small world...

A non official study showed that 75% of guests who enter the park will end up riding "it's a small world" during their stay that day. The average guest will only end up riding five attractions.

I have to agree with "It's a Small World" and the railroad because they were both opened before pirates, and somehow reading the posts here and talking to people they always always always have to do one of them if not both. Also, the fairy tale rides in Fantasyland are pretty classic and popular as well, since they have been around longer plus some of them are exclusive to Disneyland which makes it even more important for people to go on.

Of course, I'd say the Railroad as well. Let's get some numbers out there:

Capacity with two trains is 1,400 guests per hour; three trains is 2,100 guests per hour, and four trains is 2,800 guests per hour.

Can someone provide comparable IASW or Pirates numbers?

Thanks for the numbers, Steve. I think Pirates' capacity is similar to that, but the DLRR has over a decade's head start, of course.

I searched here on MC and found a figure of 2,400 people per hour for Pirates.

Were those theoretical numbers or actual operating numbers?

Pirates theoretical max is somewhere around 3400.

My numbers come from a DLRR SOP dated 1992. Actual operating numbers. Where do your numbers come from? Specifically.

I'm not interested in the theoretical. Those numbers are meaningless.
