I for one am more then happy to comment on a job well done. For me it means WDI is actually doing their job!

Exactly. While none - few? - of us are perfect, even the pickiest of us can be pleased when Disney simply does their job, as you put it.

They've been doing their job. It's just some people here don't accept the job they've been doing. But its not like they're there not doing anything. They have a job, and they do it. Some people like what they do. Some people don't. Can't please everyone.

This isn't the time or the place to rant... but try comparing Pooh to something like Roger Rabbit... or try comparing the queue for King Triton's to the queue for TSMM... For some of us it isn't about the job getting done, it's about how well (or in some cases poorly) it is done. Again I say there wouldn't be a need to invest over $1 Billion to drastically overhaul a park that hasn't even turned 10 if WDI and Disney Corporate had done a good job to begin with!

I was at the park today and while it's not something that I'm usually interested in, I was a bit curious and went to look at the entrance sign and the giant blades of grass. If not for the long line, I would've lined up just to take a look at what was behind.

From the looks of techskip's photos, it's fantastic!

They did a great job.

I do like the layout they came up with. The area is secluded from the tomorrowland side but visible to the fantasyland side.

I actually would not had mind if they had taken it one step further and just got rid of the payphones and created a nice cottage area for a more permanent structure for the gift shop. It would had been better than scattered ODV's.

My kids love Pooh and they enjoy DCA, but when you look around many things that were done were done on the cheap and it shows. Sorry for the off topic nature of the past couple posts.

As I said, if I see a good job I'll say something, and Pixie Hollow was done extremely well given the space, and constraints placed upon WDI. I said the same about the overlay of Monsters onto SuperStar Limo... given what they had to work with they did a phenomenal job. But I doubt anyone can keep a straight face trying to defend SuperStar Limo as being Disney quality or up to Disney standards.

Dreamer20k, I don't think techskip was trying to say that the Imagineers are literally sitting around, doing nothing. He meant that their "job" is to do their job well, and many of us feel that Disney's creative output in the parks was higher overall at one point.

Really? I wasn't at all attached to the Country Bears, but Pooh was highly...not entertaining for me.

Who says the majority dislikes DCA? There are quite simply a lot of people who think it's not nearly as good as Disneyland, which shouldn't be the case, since Disney had a lot more experience with building theme parks in 2001 than in 1955.

We're really getting quite off-track, though. I was trying to point out that when Disney pays attention to detail and immersion the way many of us expect them to, the result is a lot of people who are very happy to stop complaining.

I know he didn't mean it literally. It was just a poor choice of words, and I was trying to say he should have said something else. But saying they're finally doing their job implies that they haven't been doing anything for some time.


And sure does seem like the majority of people here dislike DCA. People here seem to like to criticize it whenever they get the chance.
