Re: Does anyone else have another name for Disneyland?

While at the Disneyland Resort when my friends ask what I'm doing, I simply respond with "Dreaming." When bring friends to Disneyland after my initial speech, I'll often follow with "Come dream with me."

So often I simply refer to Disneyland as "The Dream"

On a side note, I try not to refer to it as the Magic Kingdom, that term all too often reminds me of Walt Disney World.

My wife refers to Disneyland as "The Big D",

I just call it "The Park".

    "Big D"
    "DLR"
"Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom" - an actual name, but not always referred to as such.

Re: Does anyone else have another name for Disneyland?

People ask me "What are you doing this weekend?", and I'll usually answer them with "Oh, come on! I thought you knew me better than that!" And, of course, they figure it out then- "Disneyland! ... again?!?!?"

But, seriously, I just call it Disneyland, or my happiest place on earth.

My sister in law used to call it when she was a CM. Although it most certainly was a term of endearment.

As for me I call is Disneyland. Everything else is ok by me -- just DON'T call it Disney. That is used for WDW only and I can't stand it when people refer to the DLR as just Disney.

"Disneyland" or "the park" for me. In writing, I'll sometimes use "DL." NEVER just "Disney."

Re: Does anyone else have another name for Disneyland?

While I don't use these names myself, I've heard Disneyland called "Dizzyland" (I think there was a bar of that name nearby, too), "Tragic Kingdom", and "The Crappiest Place on Earth".

By the way, I've found that when people are bitter over their Disneyland experience, no matter what they say initially, it almost always boils down to crowds, and as you might expect, most of these people chose to go on a holiday....

"The Park" (my friend used to make fun of my for capitalizing it), or "Home". I was driving by the other day and I pouted and said "I wanna go home."

Then an inside joke has caused it to become Hatterland...that isn't used often though

    First, welcome to micechat!
I call it Disneyland, or The Park (I capitalize it too!)
