How about "Radiator Springs, based on Disney/Pixar Cars"?

Now we're happy, we get the name RS and Disney, Pixar and JL are happy, they get their names and the movie name! And it really rolls off the tongue, right?

Please refer to the thread where we all tear apart the fact that whole LANDS are being based on ONE movie.

Cars Canyon, to go with the physical setup of the place? I dunno, just brainstorming. May as well pick something a little less clunky than Cars Land if the word "Cars" has to be in it.

Radiator Springs - Call it What they are Building!
Cars Corner -does have a nostalgia feel to it, small town usa
Cars Country - keeps it open for other future Cars additions in future movies (yes even if in some country other than the USA)
    Cars Canyon -Great name

Each of those is better than carsland. blechhhhh!

Sometime you really have to wonder about some of the reasoning behind Disney decisions. This is definitely one that I don't think that the powers that be have a solid handle on.

I think the big question we're all not asking is... has a decision on a name actually been made? Is Cars Land the final name? What about the map which has it as Route 66? Is Cars Land simply a working title?

We're 3.5 years out from this project being completed. I bet they won't make a final decision on a name until the end of 2011.

Well, if we don't like what they are showing now, this IS our time to speak up about it, regardless.

We Might as well imagineer along with them!

Oh, I totally agree with that, but I don't think it's fair to question Disney's "decision making" if a name hasn't even been decided on.

I agree, all those are all pretty good names, let's hope that Cars Land is a working title. I do think that is possible.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

They made a decision to promote it as Carsland. Not too often have they changed the name of a new attraction, let alone an entire land, once they have made it known to the public.

For not having made a decision on it, they've spent a good deal of advertising it all over the Blue Sky Cellar! Even in an interview, John Lasseter calls it by its name: Cars Land.

If it's not going to be the final name, they usually have some sort of asterisk or something to note.

OOOOOR, it's all on purpose that hold back on the final name so that to prove the concept behind Blue Sky?
