Just Add Water (50 Years DVD)

SO, I was thinking, since the 50 Years of Magical Memories exibit will be closing with the end of the 50th celebration, why not make a DVD out of it?

I mean, all it is is a movie anyway, so just add a CGI curtian intro, through in some bonus features and it could work. Right?

I think that is a good idea, but I would add a video of all the things that happened on July 17, the "sleep-out" at DCA, the welcome on Main Street, the Ceremony at the hub. That would add value to the DVD.

I honestly DO believe that Lincoln will be returning for two reasons:

• It specifically said on the 50 Years poster that Licolon would be returning after the exibit left. Why would they go so far as to specifically say it was returning if they wanted to replace it with something else?
• Also, it simply wouldn't make sense to keep the show there after the 50th celebration ends; they're already pushing it by having it run clear through the 51st anniversary.

C33, again, good ideas, again, Disney are far to evil to make them come to life. If they made that DVD I would be one of the first to order it - and the first to send you about a billion good reps.

I strongly disagree.We do have photo proof of that poster which stated that Mr. Lincoln will be returning after the celebration. Matt Ouimet would have a lot of explaining to do if it did not return. Plus, the only theatre space that is used during the 50 Years show is the front part with the screen. Mr. Lincon is still sitting behind that curtain. It would be stupid if they made him sit there forever and it would be a lot of wasted theatre space in the back if all we got to see is the front curtain.

They should should make it a multiple disk set and give us some great Disneyland footage, like the stuff they showed us on the 17th of July. Also, put some anniversary specials in there too, like the 25th and the 35th. Shoot, make it a box set and price it 75 bucks, I'll buy it.

There was some talk about putting together a MiceChat DVD of the 50th, which would include much of what you say here. I think that is still on - we can check with Dphile to be sure, though.

Perhaps this is something that could be included when and if the "Disneyland - The Secrets, Stories and Magic of the Happiest Place on Earth" DVD is ever released.

They should just have a whole Disneyland history movie. Go through all the lands, past and present, ALL attractions, all ceremonies, all events. Make it a great mini-serises type movie.
