3 day passes

I heard somewhere that if you didn't use your entire 3 day pass it could be applied to the purchase of an ap?

yes! You can with any of the multi-day passes. Others can tell you more about it I'm sure. But I did it! Worked like a charm.

The way it works is that when you are there on your last day of your 3 day pass go to the bank (where they sell AP's on Main street) and show them your tickets. They will deduct the cost of your 3 day pass from the AP ticket price but will also deduct the 3 days. It makes your AP a tad cheaper but you will lose the 3 days you already spent in the park for the AP.

Re: 3 day passes

I'm not sure I understand, If I use a 3 day pass and at the end of my stay I apply it towards an ap they deduct 3 days from what? my ap? I was planning on getting a deluxe pass so what days would they deduct?

Re: 3 day passes

Let's say your first day in the park with your parkhopper was Dec 1. Then on December 3rd you went to the AP center and wanted to upgrade to a deluxe. They would take the face value of your park hopper (what you paid for it) and deduct that amount from the total cost of a deluxe AP. Your AP would expire on December 1, 2009 as they use the first date of entry on your park hopper as your AP start date as well.

Hope that helps!

your new AP would expire next year on the first day that you used your 3 day parkhopper, instead of on the last day. in the long run, there is no difference from
1) buying a 3 day parkhopper, using it for three days and buying an AP on the last day
2) buying an AP on the first day that you would have normally used your 3 day parkhopper

because they expire on the same day next year and cost the same. the ONE difference is that if the deluxe AP would normally be blocked-out on the first 3 days you want to go, buying a 3 day parkhopper and then upgrading is a way to get into the park on those 3 days.
