    What Is Your Favorite Show?

    As stated in the title,

    What Is Your Favorite Show?

Please post why it is your favorite show, and possibly what shows are next on your list?

Sorry if I left out your show, I had to leave out seasonal shows, and "The Magic of Brother Bear" Totem ceremony, as I am only allowed 10 poll options.

Also, I got the list from disney.com, forgetting that they only show running shows, and with POD being on hiatus and all, they didn't list it.

Definitely Billy Hill. I saw that show for the first time a few weeks ago and I was laughing so hard I had eyeliner trailing down my cheeks. Though I also like the jedi training academy. I can't help it--I'm a sucker Vader and his stormtroopers, and the smile on those little kids' faces when they 'defeat' the bad guys.

Re: What Is Your Favorite Show?

you left out parade of dreams, the only parade currently at disneyland...

i have to say F! because the production value is through the roof. Everything's so complicated and well-timed and there's live performers that are outstanding and pyro and movies and puppets and ships and awesome music and GAH! it's really a fab show and i'm glad to see something so recent really take root in DL.
i also love parade of dreams, remember dreams come true fireworks, and on a smaller scale i enjoy turtle talk, billy hill, and jedi training a lot. but if i have to pick one show to last me for a while, it's F! all the way.

Since CBJ is no longer an attraction then it would have to be Fantasmic.

Re: What Is Your Favorite Show?

Very difficult to say. I appreciate the scale and imaginative nature of Fantasmic!, though it creates a lot of thematic confusion and logistical issues for guests just trying to get through NOS.

Turtle Talk is a great little show that I'm very impressed with, though it doesn't require the sort of large-scale amazingness that F! does, and very little effort and money were invested in the theming of the waiting area and so forth.

I haven't seen Jedi Training Academy in its entirety, but from what I have seen, it seems to be a well-put-together, engaging show for young Star Wars fans. No complaints here.

Then there's Billy Hill - I only saw it once, a few years back, but I was definitely entertained. The venue is nice, and the performers are a hoot. No complaints there, either.

But I think I'm gonna have to vote for RDCT. As far as I'm concerned, it is the single greatest fireworks show created by man thus far. For those with little sentimental connection to the park, I'm sure it's stunning by merit of the sheer pyrotechnic amazingness. But for those like me with a lot of nostalgia and love for the park, it ascends to a whole new level of meaning. It's so tastefully done, so exquisitely well-crafted. So respectful. And so fun. It makes me giggle like a fanboy. I have a few little things that I would like to change (e.g. the cheap-sounding organ rendition of GGG) but they're really just trifles. Overall, it's one of the very highest-quality things done with the park in the last ten years. (The Space Mountain overhaul and the cleanup associated with the 50th are up there, too.)

I chose Remember over Fantasmic only because Remember is the most amazing fireworks show I've ever seen. Fantasmic is a very close second, and Pixar Play is tied with sadly long gone Block Party Bash.

Remember is a good firework show, but there is too much similarity to Believe! for me to really say that one is better than the other. Remember is longer, but the timing and shells of Believe were better in my opinion. The story of Remember with the characters and then random Disneyland tour thrown is really kinda silly too.

So I voted for Fantasmic. I can't believe that some 16 years later it still packs in the crowds. Even after so much as been cut from the show. Never under-estimate the power of Mickey Mouse to draw a crowd.

I just want to let you know that I'm resisting the temptation to argue with you about this.

Fantasmic! is my favorite, partly because I've only seen it once or twice, so it's still pretty new to me, and also I just love how elaborate and crazy it is. Giant dragons FTW! Second would probably be Remember, all the parts from the rides are great.

Undoubtedly, my favorite show is Disney's (Main Street) Electrical Parade hands down. Also joining it are Fantasmic, Remember Dreams Come True, Disney's Parade of Dreams and Aladdin.
