Question Disnyland AP Pass, Is there monthly payment plans?

So I looked at the Disneyland Website today and I saw nothing about the "rumored" new monthly payment plans for AP passes. Does anyone know if you can do these monthly payments yet? I heard Nov. 4th.

I just got my renewal notice yesterday (11-4), and was NOT offered a payment plan.

I could be wrong, but I thought it is not in effect yet...and it will only be offered to Southern California residents at this time.

I'm thinking this might be something you would have to arrange for in person.

No clue on the "when" but it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

They keep postponing the date through the end of November. At this point, I wouldn't expect it until December or even 2009.

DIP Jr's pass is expired, and I am waiting for them to do this. Well, there's at least one sale they just lost...

    ^^^^^^

Yeah, that's like the parents that are on their way to the Park on the 5 and shout to their fighting kids in the back seat, "if you don't knock it off, I'm turning around and heading home!"

    Yeah, right!

And Disney knows they'll get their money too...

Perhaps we should speculate in this thread about how much the discussion here on MiceChat caused Disney to change their plans?

They are probably trying to set up and automated system that will either make payments from people's checking accounts or credit cards, like they do with other bill payments. Since it is a brand new thing, there are bound to be problems. Since Disney has not officially announced this program yet, they are pretty much free to start it whenever they are ready. But I bet they want it up ASAP. They want to keep from losing APs when people are afraid to renew or purchase new ones because of all the other mess going on with the economy.

Agreed entirely. The DLR essentially can start it whenever they want - and quite frankly, it would be easier if they waited until they could avoid any unnecessary glitches.

Considering how many randomly selected APs received some sort of promotion in the mail that helped them save money, it seems like they're doing what they can. But I definitely think that they're waiting to start until it can run as smoothly as possible.
