Christmas Parade Filiming - Saturday, November 8th - AM

Looks like the Christmas Parade Main Filming will take place at the Central Plaza (aka Hub) this Saturday (11/8), starting around 8 AM to around 2 PM.

Of course, things are subject to change, and more than likely, additional filming will happen in the next few weeks. But if you want to be seen on the ABC Christmas Day WDW special, you might want to get to the park EARLY this Saturday. (and of course, adding to an already expected very busy weekend!)

Does this mean that the entire castle, Main Street, and Tree will be up by Saturday??

Most of the castle is done. (Check my photos from today at the link below!)

Filming at the "Hub" avoids the need for Main Street and the Tree to be decorated.

(Point the camera towards the Castle, and the parade route is basically doing a circle around the Hub)

Question: How does the filming of the Christmas Parade effect on how crowded it is??

It helps a bit, but being a HOLIDAY weekend (Veteran's Day) makes a much higher impact.

I wrote about this in my last Monday in the Parks article at MiceAge.

Veteran's Day, the return of Fantasmic!, and Parade filiming adds to a very busy weekend. So much so, in past years, Veteran's Day weekend has reached "Sold Out" status. (and why Disneyland is open maximum hours Friday through Tuesday).

Is Candy Corn Acres down in DCA's entry area? Any of Santa's Beach Blast showing yet?

Candy Corn Acres is just a memory & no Santa anything yet as of earlier today.

They are still selling popcorn in the 2008 Halloween plastic tubs though.

Thanks AliasD!!! On the Christmas website they don't mention Santa's Beach Party Blast for DCA, Can't imagine they wouldn't do it this year - but you never know. Halloween decorations never showed up for Tower of Terror, either.

A friend of mine is in the parade, and she wants me to see if I can come. I was wondering what time the parade filming is, if anyone knows.

How many / which floats from the Christmas Fantasy parade are used for the filming? Will we get to see any new floats, like the rumored replacement toy factory float for example?
