Very nice. Thanks for the update, DB. Looks like they add more snow to the castle.
Looks like it's coming along nicely. Thanks for the update DB
Everybody's got a laughin' place-
trouble is most folks won't take the time to go look for it.
Thanks for the fascinating look at the effects of lowering the water level! That was...enlightening and disappointing all at once.
EDIT: Far less enlightening and far more disappointing is the return of the cheep-looking spiral icicles on the castle. =/ I really wish they'd developed a way to encase the lights in realistic icicles - they'd look so much nicer at all times of day/night.
I've seen some at Costco recently. They are about 12 to 15 inches long and about an inch at its widest point, with led lights encased. They certainly look better than what DL place on the castle, last year and this year. But, I'm sure DL would need larger icicles for the castle.
May I say, the construction walls look GORGEOUS!!!!!
I wanna see PPP at night!

Thanks for the great update shots, Darkbeer. I can't get over how fast the park transitions to Christmas every year. I think the holidays are my favorite time at Disneyland, so I'm really looking forward to Nov. 21.![]()

great update darkbeer. its looks very nice.
Great shots of the Pixar Play Parade at night! Those construction walls for the Fun Wheel and Midway Games look so neat, I love how they fit in with Midway Mania as opposed to those ugly white and blue walls they had for Midway Mania.
Oh, and those pictures of the Rustworthy really disgust me. I can't wait for the bulldozers to start running on that side of the pier.
It's funny how you can see the juxtaposition of two different eras for DCA with the phots you uploaded...
It's amazing that even at the beginning of reconstructing the park, they're adding that extra Disney touch and effort in just the appearance of the construction walls...and then you see the other photos of the peeling paint and unkept Rustworthy, ... it makes a big difference..well at least to me...hahaha.
I'm soo excited for DCA...it seems like the imagineers off to a promising start...and happy early merry Christmas?
haha.
i've got no strings.
Note, the ss Trustworthy is a good example of the lowering water level.
The peeling paint was below the normal water levels and not visable until Monday, when they started to pump out the water.
I presume once the water has been totally removed, Disney will address the issue. (I sure hope so!)

Wow. The fire on the baby's head on PPP at night is very impressive.
