The entrance closest to the gate I (we) came in. When in the center gates, there is a tendency to swerve to the right. Exiting is to the right - which means the left entrance when facing in. That's because the hand stamp exit there is usually to first or only one to open...
I always go as far to the east (right) as I can to get into the park, since those gates almost always have the shortest lines. That puts me pretty much right in front of the east (right) tunnel. So there ya' go...
On the way out, I exit the west tunnel because the exit gates are just a skosh closer to the west tunnel.
Left side for entering and right side (same tunnel when looking at it from inside Disneyland) to exit. The restrooms, the Emporium ands its display windows, Carnation Cafe (the first place we hit up), and a view of the Matterhorn are all present from that side.
thanks to data, i had to make this it's own thread..
when you enter the gates, do you go for the left hand tunnel or the right?
i myself am a lefty.
Depends on where I enter. I don't have a preference. Sometimes I stop and take a photopass picture so I go Left. If I want to use the restroom I go right. Since I usually come from Harbor I tend to stand in line closer to the right side.

Re: righty or lefty?
I always end up going through the gate in the center and take the left tunnel and leave via the right.
When I go to Disneyland, I tune my FRS Radio to channel 2, without a quiet code. They're faster than a cell phone and you can talk to a whole group at a time, and you don't have to get everyone's cell phone number in advance.
