New Height Req. at Orange Stinger

Hello, I just wanted to inform everyone that there is now two height restrictions at Stinger. I checked the progress thread and nothing was mentioned.

    So here it goes:
If you are 48"'s and above you get in a different line to the right of the stairs and the old rules apply. Which are if you are 48" and at least 7 years old you may ride alone in the stand alone swings. If you are 48" and under 7 you may still ride in the stand alone seat with a person at least 16 yrs or 54" tall in a another swing near you. ( This is all old potatoes)

    Now the good news:
If you are at least 40" tall but not 48" tall you may ride in one of the four new tandum swings with a person 54" tall or at least 16 yrs old. However you must ride with a adult it does not matter if you are 46" and 8 years oold you still have to have a reasponsible party with you. The line for this is on the left side of the entry stairs.

Cool huh? I am excited i can't wait because now there is one more 40" ride (besides soarin and jelly) that my three year old can ride at DCA. He would'nt like tower to many ghosts.

That is really cool. My son really wanted to ride the stinger but wasn't tall enough. But he is WELL over 40 inches so that works great!

(Of course, by our next visit, he would be tall enough to ride alone and the ride will likely be down for it's makeover, but it is still cool in theory!)
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

I find this ride terrifying and I'm 5'2!
I started crying last time I rode!
    never again!

Very cool way to make the ride more "Family Friendly".

Pretty cool. It makes the ride more 'family' friendly - for those who still have the stomach to take the spinning.

I don't find the spinning anything that bad.

I would say to try it again after the refurb, but it looks like it will actually be more scary then.

It's so if you fly out, you will be more tolerable to landing on an empty Paradise Pier (Bay?)

The problem now is..the line for one of the double swings takes forever. We were in line thru about 5 cycles waiting for a double swing last week. The single rider line was walk on and there were about 25 people in line for the doubles by the time we got on. Blah..

It's a Disney park, they should have had mostly double swings when the park opened. Maybe they're testing to see if they should go with more double swings after the rehab. That would be good.

Good point Uncle Bob. It would be cool if they did it that way.
