    Question Best DL Parade?

Ok everyone, what with the new Calvacade my question to you all is what is your fave DL Parade?

Doubt Light Magic will get many cries of support but if you advocate the glories of fibre-optic and cinema screens then now is your chance to speak up.

Personally for me, I enjoyed the Lion King Parade as it was such a spectacle although I must say I missed the opportunity to see the Electrical Parade in its original home!

Electrical parade for night, and the (Magical Music?) parade from the 80s for a daytime live parade. It had all theses live bands on floats from full on big band and sinatra imitators to surf bands to victorian.

Electrical Parade for night as well.

As far as day time parades go: Aladdin's Royal Caravan , Party Gras Parade and The Lion King Celebration sorry can't pick only one.

Me, too. Lion King is a close second. Party Gras was wonderful, too.

I remember Party Gras! That was fun...there is a picture with me and my cousin when I'm about eight or so and I'm walking down main street with beads around my neck.

    Best DL Parade

Whenever I think of all the parades I've seen at Disneyland in the past 46 years the one that always comes to mind first is the 35th Anniversary "Party Gras Parade." The giant inflatible character balloons, costuming, floats and music made it all come together beautifully. "Hot, Hot, Hot' was the main theme and was an interesting choice because a few years earlier Buster Poindexter was banned from the park for singing it in Videopolis and inspiring the audience to form a conga line. A few years after that incident this parade would come to a halt once the entire unit was inside the park and parade viewers invited by cast member to dance in the streets with them.

    My Favorites...

Yep, that's right, I said favorites...cuz like many others, I can't pick just one!

In the 80's it would have to be State Fair ('87 & '88), & Blast To The Past ('89, not '88).

In the 90's, it would be Party Gras, Celebrate America, Lion King, World According to Goofy, & Hercules.

In 2000+ it would have to be...oh wait, they only had ONE parade for nearly 5 years, now that's pretty sad. And to make matter worse, POTS was just a horrible parade! But I did/do enjoy Mickey's Shining Star Calvacade, SBRC, and my favorite, MMKC!

And by what I keep hearing, Parade of Dreams is going to be awesome! But it also looks like it'll be around for a few years after the 50th celebration is all over. I guess the days of having a new parade each year, sometimes twice a year, are in the past! But hey, if POD is as big a hit as they keep claiming, I say bring it on!

    Fav Parade

I think the Mulan parade deserves a mention. I think it was a great parade, amazing colors and costumes and excellent talent from China.

And for sentimental reasons, the Christmas parade.

With all this talk of "off the shelf" and "on the back-burner" it seems the only thing that DCA is really missing is the kitchen sink!

I've gotta go with the flow and say Party Gras! It's too bad Disney never officially released the soundtrack for that.
"Do it for me then. Your gaming buddies are going to be there too. It will be good for you kids to go out and blow the stink off yourselves for one night."

"Fine. For you. And for the eradication of stink."

I KNOW! I have a crappy version that I recorded from a streamed file of it which was in poor quality already. It sounds like an official recording though because there is background/ambiant noise. And no, at 12megs it's not available for trade
