This combo-celebration of the "newly re-imagined" Space Mountain attraction and the "all new" redesigned 2006 Honda Civic will be the most thrilling match in the galaxy! During the month of October, one 2006 Honda Civic will be given away to a Disneyland® Resort Guest each day!

More than likely, Disneyland would be considered the sponsor with Honda as it's promotional partner.

Doubtfull it'll be me. No plans at this time to be there in October.
You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

Re: Which one of us will win a new car?

Wouldn't it be great if Disney held some sort of drawing or scratcher game for CMs? Like give out a ticket each time they show up to work? They'd only have to give away one vehicle

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

    Ideas:
    1. Two piles of scratchers.
    2. AP-only entrance, giving out bad-eggs.

Actually, I was thinking more about myself -- usually a guest of a CM.

Tell you what, I'd love to see the attendance boosted, if somewhat artifically, by AP'ers, entering, scratching, and leaving. I think getting 150,000 guests through the gates would be a pretty neat feat.

This is exactly why these types of sweepstakes are structured for a monthlong timeframe, only an average of 30 days to gauge the success or relative failure of attendence boosts, etc. A comparitively small contribution of product and ad dollars in exchange for a large amount of advertising inclusion and on-site exposure.

PLUS they didn't have to giveaway ASIMO as a runner-up prize.....

    And in October.
Seems more like an AP lottery, though, countering any claim that TDA is trying to lessen AP attendance.

Intentionally attempting to lessen gate in any manner (which includes merchandise & concessions) - yeah, what a brilliant "plan". I've never heard a discouraging word from anyone connected w/ TDA personally regarding APs.

This sweepstakes thing doesn't seem like a Disneyland-ish gimmick, imho. And I know that R...DCT is sponsored by Honda, and ASIMO I think, but since when does the Honda Civic have anything to do with Space Mountain?

Sorry, just my reaction to this 'coolest ride in the galaxy' thing.

Re: Which one of us will win a new car?

As NASA is not likely to giveaway any vehicles to better theme with SM, the promotional partnership w/ a company like Honda provides a positive addition for 31 potential winners. The opportunity to provide park visitors with the chance to win a new car as part of the 50th celebration or not to was probably a fairly easy decision at TDA. Usually in these situations a "mirror fit" is not the most important consideration, rather the most positive benefits across the board are.

I want a new car for my Birthday! We'll be there the first week in October; what a wonderful Plussing for my trip!

I wish they were giving out Saturns, seems like it woud fit the space theme better. I Think I could force myself to drive a Honda! (It would be even cooler if they were giving away Hybrids

They are. We have the opportunity to win a Honda (Civic?). There are posters at every security check-in.

Re: Which one of us will win a new car?

How has this worked in past giveaways? Does it matter what time you enter the gates? Do they give you a ticket to see if you are a winner, or is it just based on your entrance?

Woohoo, we'll be there for 4 days in October and we love Hondas, so this would be really cool.
