Re: Goodbye Disneyland Captain Jack Sparrow

oh I have lurked on micechat for over a year... and sad that this is my first post!

I do thank you all for the heads up.. I'll be coming to DLR in a few weeks and I would be shocked to not see CJS running around! Now I will be more determined to wear my jack shirts while I am there.

As you can see I am a huge Pirate fan.. lol!

did you all see the photo of Johnny with the Pirate gear on at the Disney Gala in Sept? I still hope Disneyland will give the captain another chance at the park.

Sorry if that went off topic a bit.

eta here it is

HOORAY!!

Now maybe we can return just a bit to the theming of 1860s New Orleans!

I hate to see anyone lose their job, and I hope the Jacks can find employment elsewhere in the company. But there is absolutely no rational thematic reason we should have a 1700s pirate roaming the streets of the mid-19th century Crescent City.

Goodbye, mon Capitan. Your exit came not a moment too soon.

Re: Goodbye Disneyland Captain Jack Sparrow

Terry only debunked some of the rumors about Pirates 4 (Sasha Cohen, $50 mil for Johnny, etc) but confirmed that Johnny Depp is returning as Capt. Jack.

About Those Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Rumors? - ComingSoon.net

As to the face character. We have always enjoyed his shenanigans. We've run into him, literally, on multiple occasions and it's always funny. He's put my Mikey ears at a piratesque kilter and attempted to steal pens as well as denied knowing anything about the missing rum.

I can understand the problems with over-zealous fangirls though. I've seen some very, err, amorous girls go after him like he was a giant chocolate Johnny Depp or something.

I'm not so sure. Driving by the TDA building the other day, I thought I heard the strains of a familiar melody coming from the top floor...

Yo-ho, yo-ho, good franchisers are we!
We toonificate our attractions en masse
The heck with theming, yo-ho!
Our in-your-face pirates are really a gas
The heck with theming, yo-ho!
We push Depp and Buzz and that undersea fish
The heck with theming, yo-ho!
With never a thought for what Walt would have wished
The heck with theming, yo-ho!

the only one I had my picture taken with was the one at the el capitan in the lobby. he was quite good!

mycroft16, you brought up a good point... it isn't a very Disneyland type thing to have um ladies hehe after a character....

ok it's the locker for you, Sparrow! thanks for the laughs and I will get over it now

Re: Goodbye Disneyland Captain Jack Sparrow

I'm really sad to see Jack go away to sea, so I'll take this as an
opportunity to say good-bye to my favorite face Jack. Thank you for your great work you were always on the spot with your portrayal of the Captain. You always made me laugh. I will miss seeing your huge eyelinered eyes. You are the best!

I stole this pic off of google it doesn't belong to me so thanks to whoever shot it.

I was just hoping they ditch the Pirate's Lair sign...

Yeah, but that still won't negate that the caves, and far side are still all pirate themed

I didn't have any problem with you branding a recent post of mine as I believe as just "wrong" or "messed up", it's only your opinions. Some might feel those words as overly harsh. Perhaps just try reading the posts and not so much into them, you might enjoy yourself more.

I ask once again like a few others here have and have been ignored for some weird reason...

WHERE'S THE SOURCE?

I figured i'd shout it out maybe to get heard over all this disappoint.

I"m coming in December and I want to see Jack but I still have hope since no one here can produce a valid source other than just a "rumor" or "I know cause I know".

WHERE'S THE SOURCE?
I remember SkeletonStockings telling me that a friend of her's who works there said so, but I'm not sure what his exact words were.

This isn't an official source, but it is what we have

Re: Goodbye Disneyland Captain Jack Sparrow

As I previously stated I was told by Capt Jack himself that he was going out to sea and a few of the bootstappers and castmember who gave me that date of November 15th. Official enough for me
