It's open again, hurray!
Cast members for the attraction stood out front telling people that it was still closed. However unlike almost every other soft opening day for previous attractions(Buzz Lightyear, Pirates of the Caribbean makeover, etc.), they actually chose a policy of honesty stating that they hoped to have it up and running by the end of the day. This was a remarkable departure from previous soft openings where they insisted that the ride would not officially open for another couple of days and therefore would NOT be open that day and to go do something else. Granted there were less people in the park but there definitely seemed to be less crowding around and less bickering to the CMs from people who'd heard it was going to be open and demanding to know when it would open. Let's hope this approach remains in the future.

Meanwhile you could watch mindlessly at the boats floating by along the flume. The new boats definitely seem a little weird with the grabbing holes on top of the benches, the odd color schemes, and the rubber quality to them.

Cast Members worked on the loading platform while a small crowd waited patiently around the Small World Gallery, until the switch was flicked and the area music suddenly turned on.
The first musically accompanied clock ceremony took place and shortly after guests were walked through the line.

A line stretched back just a bit, not much considering the queue was empty and there were no switchbacks. And even though it was announced that both sides were open, it took people a little while to realize it.
And now..onto the ride!
