What Rides Will Be Shut down during World of Color

Just like over at Disneyland when the fireworks go off all of fantasyland is closed but that's a little bit different.

During Fantasmic of course the Mark Twain Riverboat and Sailing Ship Columbia along with Tow Sawyer's Island is closed.

What attractions do you think will close during the World of Color Show?

I'm not sure if they will use it... but 2 years ago they tested an effect that was suppose to be added to Screamin'. It was a series of light bars that would be retrofitted to the bracing on the track and then at night the ride would make like a giant screen... the tests went very well from what I saw. If this was to be a part of WOC then most likly Screamin' and the Fun Wheel will be closed. Also seeing how the sketchs are with the water spray both Zephyr and Silly Symphonies might close as well.

I think the Fun wheel is almost guarenteed to close, and probably Symphony Swings. Screamin is hard to say. I don't think it will, but none of us have seen WOC yet, so who knows if the trains will come close enough to the show to endager riders. So my vote goes to Fun Wheel and the Swings.

I think it's very possible they won't need to close any, the fountains seem pretty centered in the bay. They may close some of them if they are either part of the show or distracting as others have said. I'm not sure if anyone on here knows their intentions, but it's possible that the actual conditions will require changes from what they are even planning to do right now. Another question would be if they don't have to close any of the attractions, should they?

The sound from Screamin would be the main issue I'm sure.

I think the sound of the acoustics and the waterjets should be enough to drown out any screamin launches. It's a bigger bay than it seems.

It would be great to have the fun wheel going while the water show is. Imagine that view!

Screamin' racing past all that light and colors, that would be amazing too.

I think most of the rides on the Pier but I mean the show most likely will be right at closing anyway (since it usually closes an hour or 2 after the sun goes down) So it wont really affect that many people. But I hope the rides are still open.

I think that they'll show more than one show per night, at least after Cars Land opens I'd be shocked if there's not two per night and possibly three eventually. It's got to be one of the most expensive shows they've ever done in terms of infrastructure, but relatively cheap per show. I'm sure they'll get as much use out if it as possible.

I definitely think that Zephyr will be closed, but I'd probably also say the Fun Wheel and swings (although fun wheel would be an amazing view!).

Though the launches and effects are based inthe center of the lagoon, I've heard that they're expected tobe practically 200 feet high. Would they just cancel the show on a windy night or just shut whatever ride is in the show's mist projectile path down for the length of the show?

Or they could play a water warning announcement, but people would likely still whine and complain even though they'd been warned about the wetness potential *cough*Pixar Play Parade*cough*
