Fantasmic! Boat Storage

Does anyone know where the F! boats leave the rivers of America and go back stage. My guess is at the beaver dam, but does anyone know for sure. If so, how do they move the beaver dam and AAs?

I know they store the crocodile behind the Festival Arena. YOu can see it from the train just before you past Princess Fantasy Faire.

I believe they're all stored back there. The exception being the Mark Twain and Columbia, of course.

Check it out at Live Maps.

I think it actually leaves the river on the port side. There's a well-hidden break in the hills between the Indian boy and his village.

Quite an excellent observation. Not many people notice it.

To my knowledge, yes, they're all stored back there, but I could be mistaken.

While enjoying the train, you can easily see the maintenance/storage dock among the tree's/shrubbery.

Of course, your attention might be deverted towards something else at that spot, since it was designed that way...

Keen observers can see a ton of stuff that is not meant to be if they just look around.

The "show" behind the show...

Re: Fantasmic! Boat Storage

I'm glad this question was asked....there is a general discussion about this in my office that is brought up from time to time. How about where do they board the floating rafts?

They board on the side of the island. You can see them change the raft from the Mark Twain Dock.

Google Maps View:

Red arrow: Entry point to storage
Blue circle: Storage dock
Green line: DLRR

There is a fence and trees separating the railroad from the storage area, but you can still catch glimpses.

Maps Live view:

You can easily see the crocodile float in storage in this image looking towards the east.

They also board the rafts from the western side of TSI. Stand at the canoe loading area and you'll see lots of fun backstage stuff: characters coming and going, stagehands changing out the rafts, etc.

You can also watch them switch (Put the candles on the raft etc.) from in front of Splash Mountain. I recommend watching sometime, it's quite interesting. Also if the characters see you (especially the monkeys) they will put on a little show for you.

I once took an ex to see the private show. She didn't seem as interested as I was. Oh well
