That line was CRAZY!!!!! They put info on this signing on the Jonas Bros website, including the fact that you could line up after 1am last night. People were there by 9pm, and at 1am, there was almost a RIOT there. One 8 year old girl got stepped on, another girl fainted.. they had to cut the line off before 3 am, because so many people showed up. Once the wristbands were distributed at 7am, they let the wristbanded people into separate lines to be let into DCA at 9am, and then took them over to the theatre. The Jonas Bros landed in the parking lot in a helicopter at 10am, and I have yet to hear from a friend how the signing went.
I am still just blown away that thousands of people would wait from Midnight till the afternoon 12 hours later to get signatures from this band. I cannot get over it, I mean if it was Thriller Era Michael Jackson (1983) or Paul McCartney, perhaps it might make sense, but the Jonas Brothers? No offense or anything but then I guess I am not a tween or a parent of a tween so it just might not ever make any sense to me. I guess they are the "New Kids on the Block" /"BackStreet boys" of the current tween generation. Now I assume the people lining up since 12am on a school night were not children but Parents, how does one explain that?
From what I understand, the line was filled fast and early. They didn't let people start lining up until 1AM and then by 1:30 or so, they were turning people away. I guess for a 90 minute book signing they really did a decent job of setting a limit so that there weren't people mad that they stayed out there all night and didn't get a chance to meet them. Of course, we haven't seen any reports of how the event actually went to know how it all turned out.
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!
