I don't remember most of the Bears, unfortunately, but I do remember Big Al quite well. So he'd be my favorite bear. Character though? Definitely Melvin/Max/etc.

I loved big Al but had to vote for Max/Buff/Melvin. I wish Sammy the skunk wasn't with them, he was nowhere near the big 3.

My parents STILL remind me (28 years later!) of how I wouldn't stop laughing at Big Al.

I even did 'Blood on the Saddle' for a lip sync in grade 6.

I selected other because there was not a "None of the above" option. I never got to see the show, so I don't really have an opinion as to which bear was the "best" bear. So in hind sight, I guess I shouldn't have voted at all.
I wish I would've been able to take the show in at least once though.
