Just have to point back to one of the older MiceChat Photoshop topics, that was inspired by a certain huge inflatable character perched in the entry area of DCA:

My second submission, I didn't come out as I'd hoped so I might change it a bit if I happen to finish one of my term papers early.

I thought I would go a little Vintage and yes this is the same boat. I wish it would go backwards down the river to change it up so I did it on here.

That is by far my favorite so far, brilliant work Nautilus...far outweighs my take on the HM portrait version, well done!

Very impressive! I'm lovin' the concept and execution. I'm curious what your process for touching up the pleasant version was like - looks like you upped the color temperature a bit and perhaps added a blurred copy of it set to Screen? In any case, definitely a great job, as I've come to expect in this thread.

^What I did was was I duplicated the main layer (original picture; untouched) colorized the layer to a yellow/orange, blurred the heck out of it, turned the opacity down, and combined the two layers!

Wow, I didn't even see yours! I just got an idea, without looking at anyone else's (so I'm not "influenced" in the process) and just posted it. I thought I was first to come up with the idea! I guess not!

Awesome! It works wonders for your entry.

I have a suggestion for some, though not all, of the future contests. I think it'd be nice to have some variety...obviously, doing contests like these is fun, but I'd enjoy also having some contests where we're given a written prompt and then can use any Disneyland-related photo(s) we want to develop our images. Kinda like worth1000, if any of you are familiar with that site. Alternating between these two basic types of contests might be a nice way to keep the interest level high and allow people with different strengths to all have their chances to shine.

No worries heh, and certainly no hard feelings..your piece is awesome, I would have gone that route in the first place on my own if I had the skills...I started working on mine without a clear idea, hey, this could be a HM portrait...it kind of turned into that as I worked.

Hey Nautilus, that's great! Can you show us the image of the wrecked Mark Twain by itself?

    You know... for fun.

That's just awesome Nautilus. Love the whole idea.. and the execution is really great!

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter
