I do have to admit HMH does force DL to keep maintenance up.

No, it doesn't...they could just as easily close the attraction down for one month instead of five and just use the time for maintenance and plussing. It's great that they take care of this stuff every time HMH comes and goes, but I'd love it if they did that without HMH.

so you havent noticed that they give alittle more attention to mantenance of HM since they started the HMH? HM was in very bad shape before they started doing HMH. But I really would like to see a holiday version without Jack ... maybe throw in a figure of Jacob Marley and the 3 christmas spirits... where the groundskeeper AA is could be the ghost of christmas yet to come.

Absolutely love the original and holiday versions of the Haunted Mansion and IASW! The seasonal versions add a lot of spice to the holidays. Though, I'm glad that the original versions are up for all to experience most of the year, each year.

I have a ride overlay concept that would lend itself to a fantastic holiday experience. I am listing it below, along with a description of what a holiday version might entail -

Peter Pan Holiday Flight - Christmastime In Neverland -
Guests would soar above Londontown in gondolas that are decorated in old fashioned Christmas ornamentation. London would be covered with fresh snow. The buildings and streets would shimmer with hliday decorations, lighting and holiday magic. Big Ben and London Bridge would be covered with spklendorous ornamentatioin. Carolers would chime out Christmas carols.

Moving along to Neverland, we would find a Scroogelike Capn. Hook and his gang of pirates attempting to put an end to the Christmas spirit. To the rescue would enter Peter, tink Windy and her brothers, the Lost Boys and even Santa himself fighting Hook in order to restore the spirit Christmastime.

Please tell me if you would like to see one or more rides receive a holiday overlay (other than those that already exist). Tell me which ride(s). I will be very interested to hear your idea(s).

actually that sounds great. but my biggest worry is the space on how it is used.

Imagineers have actually been working on an idea of a Holiday overlay for a few years. When I worked at the Tiki Room they were toying with an idea of making the enchanted fountain into an abstract christmas tree... when the center water tube would go up it would make the tree grow. too bad they could never get the idea to work, would have been cool

I bet they already have some good scripts for some Mele in the Tiki Room!

Tube??!!? What tube ? It's magical! And now I bet they could do something like a tree.

I would like to see them do a Country Bear Jamboree Christmas Overlay. Of course, that would be an upgrade to the pooh facilities with a theater or two, complete with surround sound and Audio Animatronic furry creatures singing and dancing!

When the first opened TSMM, it was mentioned they have the technology to change some of the images in the screens. I'm all for shooting Eater eggs at plates or trying to ring christmas wreaths around the Little Green Men.

TSMM all the way!!!! I would to shoot ornaments at plates ,and "toss wreathes" around the little green men and pop little reindeer balloons! And instead of chuckin pies at the test round we can throw fruitcakes! Yup TSMM definentyl needs an overlay no to mention a spectacular xmas light display outside! lol I could see Mr.Potatohead singing carols with a santa hat already!

Wait...what? If you'll recall, my words were: "It's great that they take care of this stuff every time HMH comes and goes, but I'd love it if they did that without HMH." It wasn't that they couldn't do this until they started doing HMH...they simply chose not to. And I personally would prefer 11 months of HM and 1 month of downtime over 7 months of HM, 2 months of downtime, and 3 months of HMH.

How about the Matterhorn but making it Christmas by adding sound to the bobsled. You could go though the mountain with a dashing though the snow theme. There has been a long standing rumor that the Matterhorn will get new bobsleds and if they have speakers this would be real simple.

Space Mountain! Add some lights and stuff, change the track to something holiday and boom! I disagree with others who don't enjoy HMH, I think it's a nice change for those few months.
