And I personally would prefer 11 months of HM and 1 month of downtime over 7 months of HM, 2 months of downtime, and 3 months of HMH.
He said that HMH forces Disney to keep maintenence up. You said "No, it doesn't," I think his conclusion was logical then, that you don't see an improvement in maintenence since HMH went up.

He never said they couldn't do it without HMH. He said it forces them to. Which is very true. Every time they re-open the ride, they want it looking its best or better. Not the same as it did before. I think the ride has benefitted from this.

I agree with you that it would be nice if they didn't have to use the installation of a holiday overlay as an excuse to make improvements. But you make the other poster sound crazy for making a logical assumption based on your responses.

Thanks for the complement, jackskeleton. Peter Pan would be a natural for a holiday overlay. Love your Tiki Room idea. If such an attraction were created, the tiki bird Christmas songs would be so delightful and exotic that I would repeat the experience in succession when I saw it.

There's not enough space for a long drawn out e-ticket storyline, but a simple and short depiction of the idea would work quite well. Perhaps, Disney could expand the perimeters of the regular Peter Pan ride, and increase loading capacity through larger gondolas.. It's certainly popular enough to call for such a move.

You are about to enter Twas The Night Before Zone. ToT would make for a fantastic Christmas overlay. The story would begin with hotel guests disappearing on Christmas Eve, and end with a steep fall down a chimney alongside Santa.

Christmas In Space has a pretty cool ring to it.

Actually...you're right! I was wrong. Looking over what he and I wrote, it was indeed a bit of bad logic on my part. Obviously, I still believe that HM can and should receive maintenance without HMH, but that doesn't contradict what he originally said. You have my humble apologies, Alpoe!

Actually, I was thinking of a POTC overlay ride that would be called Pirates Hardy Yultide Party. They'd sing their own fractured holiday songs.
