I would be highly surprised if they were to do that. They lean towards shows that promote recent releases, or at least they did. One of the reasons Aladdin was done as a stage show at the Park was in the hopes it might result in a Bway version, like "Beauty and the Beast".
For those not familiar, Disneyland ran a Beauty and the Beast show at Fantasyland Theatre. Its popularity pretty much propelled it to a larger scale version on Broadway. If you didnt see the bway version, it was basically the Disneyland show , with added numbers and alot more money put into it.
Yeah, I remember that Beauty and the Beast show it was at Disneyland in the early 90's. Probably 1992-1993ish.

I don't know if it's the same, but WDW has a Beauty & the Beast show (or at least they did two years ago when we went) at their MGM (now Disney's Hollywood Studios) park. We saw Aladdin this last Friday (our first and only time). It is truly amazing. Quite a good show. Incidentally I overheard one of the CMs respond to a question about changes that the changes were mostly behind the scenes, so not things that would be readily apparent.

No the B& B show at WDW wasnt the same or remotely similar to the Disneyland one. Different director/choreographer as well.

    Re: Aladdin's Return

Well, I'm going to be down there next weekend, and am going to try to make it to a showing. There have been rumors that they might replace it with the cruiseline show Toy Story. First off, that would really suck. Second, if they're going to replace it, don't replace it with a show that's already been played or is being played in another park (ie Lion King, Tarzan Rocks, Finding Nemo). Thirdly, bring in something as good, or better than the previous show. I think if they a play on Mulan, it would work. Mushu could have some great one-liners, and the sets would be unbelievably beautiful. Does anyone have any ideas if they are to replace this amazing show?
(PS, I for one, would not want to see Hunchback of Notre Dame)

Hey, Cuddles McHenry I know this is off topic, but do you remember Crazy Plane? Not the Mickey Mouse short, but the Disney Afternoon show...it was shown in 1990. I prefer Disney to have a show rather then some Princess Meet and Greet, crap.

My guess is that unlike Iago, it would be a little difficult to have a puppet version of Abu just because he's um a monkey? just because he climbs all around etc. I think it wuold look a little odd to have a person play him just size-wise. But if they could figure it out somehow, maybe a projection type thing it'd be awesome.
