How sad, I'm blocked out until next year. Oh well. :'(
Rumors only. My sources says its more likely 2010.
I thought the electric parade was going to stay. Is it going away for good? That would suck!!
Not going away for good. Its a seasonal thing right now...
Disney's Electrical Parade will be back in the summer of 2009. But several things will be different then. So this will be the last time to see it in its "classic" form.
I think its interesting to call this version "classic" when its missing the dwarves Mine float, and the entire Pinocchio unit.
You may be right, it might be running in 2009, but from what I have heard, most likely will be the "classic" version that's showing now.
I predict, IMO, my crystal ball says...(whatever phrase sounds good )- if there is a revised, and refurbished and upgraded Electrical Parade, it'll be in 2010. I would be highly surprised if the Entertainment Dept managed to pull off the Celebration Parade/Street show and a new Electrical Parade in the same year...
Who knows, tho. We might all be wrong.
That is good news. We will be at Disneyland for Christmas again! I always love to see the Parade. We arrive there on the 23rd and come back to where there is no magic on the 29th. I will get to see the parade several times during the week then! YAY!
One trip we stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel and had a top floor room right behind the Paradise Pier area in DCA where the parade starts. We watched it from the window of our hotel room. That was different.
I am excited to see the parade again, especially since it is going to go away again...
See ya'll at the Parks next week!![]()
yay! it's returning just in time for my trip this weekend![]()

A few floats have come and gone over the years, but the same basic EP has remained. Same music, same basic lighting technology. That's why I'd call the current version "classic".
I'm just saying, if you want to see the classic version, go see it during this 2-week run or you'll regret it forever! Just some friendly advice.
Sweet! I'll be there on the 24th and 25th (Christmas Eve and Day) so I'll be taking lotsa pics and put em in my trip report if I make one...

the last i heard from a Paaradde Cast Member:
Blue Fairy is Staying (just being relocated in w/ the Pinochio floats)
instead oof her leaving it's the Circus that's being removed instead.
the current soundtrack will be replaced by the "Dreamlights" soundtrack idk if they willl be using the character voice tracks or not. it'd be SO Cool to FINALLY be able to understand what Goofy,Mickey & Minnie say (interestingly enough Wayne Alwine & Russi Taylor did Mickey & Minnie's Japanese Dialogue)
^ I'm only hesitant to believe that because it's fairly obvious from listening to the Dreamlights soundtrack that that isn't Wayne or Russi. Those are the normal Japanese voice actors that they use for the characters' voices around TDR.
"Keep Moving Forward."
