Major agreeing with you there.

The elitism in the last few pages is mind boggling.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

Disneyland is about fun. If it's too crowded; it isn't fun. That's the bottom line here, not "I'm better than you" or I'm elite. I'm going Sunday, which should be packed, but I'll have fun. I just won't stand in line waiting for rides. I enjoy the musical acts, shows, shopping, and characters when it's like a sardine can. But I do like to hit days when wait times for rides are reasonable, and if that vanishes, I'm not going to get my AP next year.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

Yesterday, Friday the 3rd of April the crowds were light and continued to do so until Pyro, what perhaps caused this? I feel its a combination of Cast Member sign in's being blocked out as well as the California Select AP's being blocked. Friday nights at the Resort have become as busy if not even more busy than Saturday nights, and I attribute this to the large number of AP's coming in for dinner and watching Pyro or Fan, im sure it will be busy during this peak season of spring break but I feel that with both the California Select and SoCal annual passes blocked there might not be the kind of crowds witnessed the previous week when there were no Block Outs.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

I know my chances at hitting light crowds is little to none right now during peak Spring Break season but my friend and I are heading out to the park on either Tuesday or Thursday, which day would you think has the better chance of being less crowded?
Thnx in advance...

Both Tuesday and Thursday are usually light days, but I'd pick the day with the worst weather. Good luck!

Avroguy is right. Sunday the park wasn't that crowded. Walked on to a half-dozen rides before noon, but did get caught in a line for Toy Story. The weather wasn't too hot, about 80, and we had a great day. So, hit the park when the So Cal AP are blocked. If you can catch the park when the herd isn't there.

Sunday was fabulous at the park (considering how bad I thought it was going to be). We got to the park around 5ish and hit up DCA first and hit Disneyland at around 9:30.

Everything had pretty reasonable wait times, 25-30 minutes, fastpasses were still available for TOT and screamin. Over at disney, we walked onto potc, hm, alice, splash, rockets, star tours. It was an awesome evening.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

I was wondering if anyone could give me some more info about the D23expo. I am hopping to take my family down to Disney from about The 7th to the 18th of September and wondering how the EXPO will affect the hotel situation as well as how busy the park will be.

I know that this is a long time out, but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

This is the very first D23 expo, so none of us have any historical data to go on in seeing how it will affect anything.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

Depends highly on how many people bought into the D23 thing.

I think it will be a major madhouse. And a major disappointment that will cause convention goers to go to Disneyland instead. you heard it here first: DL will be full on those days.

Well, I origonally thought that the Expo would be at the Parks, so that would clearly be a no brainer that it would be crazy, but if people were spread between the convention centre and the Parks...

We also have the option of taking in places like Sea World, Lego Land, Universal and/or knotts berry those days.

I am just worried about hotel booking...

I suggest booking hotels ASAP. They can always be cancelled or modified. Air travel not so much.

I'm not so sure about that. I saw a lot of people eating carrots, homemade sandwiches and their drinks were brought from home...not a brand sold in the parks.
