It's the first Sunday after Fantasmic and such opens.
I know my kids' last day of school is Friday. The floodgates will be slowly opened over the next two weeks.

The alternative is not to go. Choice is yours.
Is the economy going to affect travelers to DL? We'll find out soon enough, but the SoCal 3-day hoppers are already poised to counter that.
Yeah I'm pretty much a low-tolerance type person too, especially when I lived in SoCal and me and my ex had our AP's, but I'm out in AZ now so any chance to use it is a chance I wanna take, lol. Thanks for the input though.

Question....we're Deluxe Annual Pass holders and we can only park Mickey and Friends lot. Does that lot ever get full and close? Do they make other arrangements for us passholders? Or do we have to pay to park somewhere else?

1. Does that lot ever get full and close?
2. Do they make other arrangements for us passholders?
3. Or do we have to pay to park somewhere else?
1. Yes, and yes. Most recent cases involve some large event at the Convention Center and DLr has allowed their overflow onto DLr lots.
2. They'll route you somewhere else on resort. South of DLH there is a large lot.
3. Maybe.

You can freely blame DLr management for offering an extremely discounted parking option, which you chose to purchased. (Ah, irony can be pretty ironic sometimes....)

You can go to any lot. 99.9% of parking attendents will let you in for free at any lot.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

It shall be busy when it is a full moon, and the wolf bane is in full bloom. In addition, there shall be many a drunken sort, carousing outside and in of the local taverns. But then, one drunk will end up sprouting an enormous amount of what appears to be wolf hair, then all hades breaks out ..... garbage cans are being tossed about with the greatest of ease, riots will break out, old men taking their dogs out for a much needed walk, will lose even more of their hair, same thing will happen to their dogs. Then old ladies will be screaming catch that drunken werewolf, why oh why cannot any of you useless drunks ever catch him .... oh yes, that is the reason why! Can we have some men here that are not plastered please?
What was the topic again? he he! j/k.

Going to Disneyland on the 20th, day before Father's Day. I doubt it'll be as busy, but what do you guys think?

It's the beginning of summer and a weekend... It is going to be busy This weekend was busy with packed Fantasmic! performances and horrible crowd control. Next weekend may not be so busy, but it probably will be an 8 out of 10.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

Hey all, I'm trying to plan a trip to Disneyland for mid-September and I'm looking at different days. We're thinking of going the weekend of September 19th. Going from September 17th-September 20th is what we are planning to do. We want to get in two weekdays and a weekend. I was just wondering if it looks like it will be busy or not around that weekend. I know two weekends before that is labor day and the weekend before is the D23 convention, so I figure it should be empty by the 19th? Especially since people will be back in school then. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

How have the crowds usually been *on* father's day? I'm guessing it's a fair crowd because it's the last day open of S. CA APs...but I'm happy with a crowd where e-tickets are an hour or less, not very picky!

that sounds like a good weekend to me. Just remember that Southern CA colleges don't go back until late Sept. so you might still hit the college crowd...but they ditch class to hit up D-Land anyway, lol!!
