Have fun and hopefully there will be no crowd issues for you!! (The main ticket offices have the pins and so do most of the stores if you ask...they are free...there is also a nice green Celebrate one you can ask for)
We're going to credit the admission towards a pass. Keeping my fingers crossed for light crowds.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

OK, a few quick comments...

Yes, last Thursday was the last Grad Nite for the year.

Many students that live in Utah get the first full week of October off for something called UEA, where teachers spend time working with each other, so kids get a break.

Parking, on Saturday, Disney did not open up either Pumbaa or use the AGW spaces they have the right to use.

On Sunday, they were parking both lots at around 11 AM.

Never made into the park on Sunday, just drove by on the way to Knott's, but stopped by Saturday afternoon, and it was fairly quiet for a Summer Saturday.

Day ain't over yet.
If the SoCal AP'ers want their DL, it should be filled tonight, after work. Lots of people take off early on Friday.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

I am hoping to go the 12-14th of August, as my birthday is the 13th. Will it still be really crowded then since Summer won't be officially over yet?

Can anyone provide an update as to how yesterday (or today) has been crowd-wise now that SoCal APs have started their summer blockout dates?

I am interested as well. This economy thing is messing up my crowd models, so I need some actual data.

Thanks.
It is Utah School vacation the same time as Gay Days. It is going to be pretty crowded that week.

Utah Education Association Convention - In October. (2009 UEA convention is October 1-2.) Because of this teachers' convention each year, most schools in the state of Utah have a 4-day or 5-day weekend. Many Utah residents take that opportunity to travel to Disneyland (some people call it Utah Escapes to Anaheim week), so that long weekend can be surprisingly crowded. Thanks to Heather W for info

We were they yesterday (Monday) and they day started out pretty mellow, no real massive crowds, but by early afternoon- it was a busy summer day. We were there Saturday as well and Saturday seemed less crowded!

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

It's looking like Saturdays will be the least crowded days this summer, as Deluxe AP holders are blocked on Summer Saturdays.

Since I am one of those Deluxe APers, I was wondering what the days are like when I can go, but SoCal APers are blocked.

If it isn't asking too much, I would love it if someone had a DCA perspective on rides too; DH and I often prefer to go there because of the usually lesser crowds and just relax.

Ahhhh, the AP Lounge!
As you already know, DCA will be less crowded than DL. You can hit a few single-rider lines like Screamin' and Soakin' (GRR) over and over. Do note that the Screamin' single rider waiting space is very very sunny. No shade and lots of white concrete.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

I was up there Sunday (6/28) and it was very pleasant. From 8:00 to about noon it was especially nice, the longest line was Big Thunder, less than 10 mins. The Matterhorn was only 5 mins. We walked right onto Dumbo. By the afternoon it started to fill up, however at 2:00pm the Pirates line was still inside the bridge.
