Sorry haha, packed in the evenings as compared to the mornings, I didnt mean to make it sound like i meant its been expecially crowded in general. Its managable but don't expect to just walk on to anything. I haven't ever been in any other summers so I am no authority on that.

The few times I've been there in the last couple weeks it has been packed at night, but most of that is contained in the hub and RoA. As far as the rest of the park goes, it seems pretty light on crowds.

hmm... so maybe we will not wait for fireworks and use that time to hit rides.... wonder how the 3yr old would take that.. lol

I know some friends who went before and on the 4th and said the crowds were basically lower most of the day. I am going this next week and am wondering how the crowds will be. I understand on disneylands birthday it will be bad what about before the 17th.

Hi everyone. My husband and I, and our two children would like to visit Disneyland in October. We wondered what the crowds will be like after the Columbus day weekend. We wanted to arrive on the 12th (Monday), and go to the parks on the 13th (Tuesday) and go home on the Saturday. That would give us 4 days of Disney during the week. What do you guys think? Do you know of any special events going on during that week that we don't know about? We just want lower crowds when we go, if possible. Thanks for the advice!

That's true, but the question is, when is the busy season now? We are AP's and I have noticed that the "busy season" seems to have shifted here at DLR, probably due to the high number of SoCal AP's and the birthday promotion thing which seems to have worked a little too well? Some Sundays and even some of the weekdays during this past year's traditional "off season", have been packed. So, I am worried about the end of the summer and this Fall when all the AP's can come back into the park. I have heard that so far this summer (July 4? light crowds? what the?

) seems to be lighter crowds, so I plan to check that out when we go on the 15th... I guess you just never know about the crowds anymore with so many AP's.... so just go when your up for it and have fun!!

Today the waits in Disneyland are much worse then in the last few days. Over at DCA the waits are noticably shorter.

We have two different dates scheduled for a Disney vacation and we are not sure which will be less crowded.

Oct 8-10; after Gays Days and right before Columbus Day

or

Nov 22-24; right before Thanksgiving. My Mom's b-day is on 11/23 and this will be a 3 generation trip. My parents (early 60's) have not been to Disneyland since before Splash Mountain was built. We're leaning toward these days because of holiday decorations and hours. But would be willing to have shorter hours if Oct 8-10 is less crowded.

We're going then too (July 22-27) and hoping that Comic Con in San Diego will draw a lot of the locals away from Disneyland as well as the Orange County Fair.

We are trying to decide between two different weeks in Dec. Do you think there will be much difference between Dec 7-11 or 14-18? I know that there will probably be cast parties at least one of the nights during 7-11 week, but college students are done with school by the 14-18 week. Thanks for any insight!
