Sun/Mon/Tues in off-season. Should be fine. Sunday will be busy, maybe a 5 or 6 (on my chart). I don't think Spring Break will be an issue. Mon/Tues will be 2 or 3.
Will there be fireworks or Fantasmic at all on any of those days??? (8th-10th)?? Two of the people in my group have never seen the fireworks and been years since they have seen Fantasmic!.

Re: Friday, Jan. 23rd

Fridays usually signal the start of the weekend, and heavier crowds. But, the rain may keep locals away, at least until Friday night, when dates arrive. I think you might get lucky in the AM. Good luck!

^But Fridays arn't as crowed as the weekends right? I'm going the 6th of Feb. with some friends we thought it would have less people than the weekend since you know adults have work, kids have school.

Check the Fantasmic! schedule thread. (No, it doesn't exist.)

I think it is on every night, since the fireworks are "dark" for the next few months.

Fridays:
Fridays get more crowded as the day goes on. Get there early, and do what you absolutely have to do. Collect FPs for later use when the Friday "I'm going to Disneyland!" crowd leaves work early (as they shout that on theirr way out the door).
So, they might start as a Crowd Index of 2 or 3, but could swell to a 6 or 7 by the time Fantasmic! starts.

A group of us will be in disneyland "Presidents week" more specifcally Tue - Thur Feb 17-19. I see the hours are 9-9 when the rest of the month the hours on Tues - Thur are 10-8. Do kids get that week off? Will the park be busy? Thanks for your comments.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

Yes, many schools give a week off including President's Day, some call it either Ski week or Rodeo Week.

Also, President's Lincoln's Birthday is Thursday, February 12th, where many government employees will get the day off, but some schools will move the day off to Monday the 9th or Friday the 13th. I would be prepared for large crowds Starting the 12th (but the weekend of February 6th through the 9th should be busier than normal) and going through the 22nd. The heaviest time will be the 13th through the 16th, but the rest of the week has traditionally been busier than normal, and why Disney has scheduled extended hours.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

We need to add a note about parking for MLK/NAMM weekend to the 2010 edition.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

Does anyone have any of the L.A. area schools schedule for Presidents week Feb 16-20. In order words, do LA schools get the whole week off or just Monday and/or Friday. As I posted above, we will be in disneyland Tuesday - Thursday Feb 17 to Feb 19 and I'm trying to gauge how busy it will be. My guess is busier than normal but not excessive. I know they normally don't run Fasspass during the week on slow periods. Anyone know if they will run them that week? I'm trying to plan and want to know as well as possible what to expect. Thanks.

From what I've read here there are a few districts in OC that take the whole week off.
Should not be enough to scare you. Should not be enough to run oput of FPs'. Do what you would normally do for FPs: get them early and often.

Just so you guys know, Deaf Awareness Day is on March 14th this year. No idea how busy it will be, but I plan on going. I hope. Tickets are $51.

Let's get the Superbowl question out of the way early this year, shall we?

Okay, people. As I have read before on many numerous posts over the years, and based on my own personal experience for the last three years, attendance at Disneyland on Superbowl Sunday is not any lower than any other Sunday the rest of the year. The park is not "dead" or "empty", and the lines will not be "nonexistent". Attendance will be basically the same as any other Sunday you would go on a typical weekend.

Thank you. Please move along with your lives now.

It would be more crowded if a LA NFL team would be going to the superbowl.

Nice idea, but I'm sure there will be more threads started on the subject...

Kudos for trying though!
