Don't mean to be a party pooper, but the question has already come up in other threads over the last couple of weeks. The threads weren't titled Super Bowl directly, the conversation just sort of went that way.

In recent years, the Super Bowl, in my reading of these threads, has had minimal impact on attendance.

Question...to a previous poster, what difference would it make if LA had a team?

More vistors would be in Downtown Disney to watch the game then after the game they'll probably go to the park.

None.
It's been 14 years, and we've had busy super bowl sundays and empty super bowl sundays.
I'm guessing the weather has a greater effect.
This year will be busier, based only on the existence of a large banner at the top of this thread and forum.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

I'm going to Disneyland on President's Day to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday. I'll have to pay extra, I believe, as a So Cal AP is blacked out that day. I imagine it's a pretty busy day?

Yup. I give it a Crowd Index of 7. (See Post #52 for Crowd index explanation.) Sunday before will be worse, 8.5-ish.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

If birthdays peak in September Disneyland could see increased attendance during its slowest time of the year...good for DL, but bad for us So Cal AP "guests" who live for the uncrowded days.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

And here is actual information on most common birthdays:
Fredericksburg.com - Today is the most common U.S. birthday, according to anybirthday.com

October 5, according to "anybirthday.com", which I cannot get to.

Tried to go this morning, quickly decided to head back home when the traffic to get into the parking structure started at Ball.

Re: When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition

So what about Sept 12-19, those should be less busy times right? We just booked for that week, I'm hoping it is not too busy. We had no problems getting booked into the hotel. Of course we are staying at the Grand, probably not the first choice of people heading down there, but we figured we have been there enough times, this time it is time to splurge.

Yes. Off-season. Should be fine. Busier on weekends.
