I guess ride Space Mountain instead. I'm gonna be there the 13th, and I will miss it too. Maybe it will be open, but I doubt it. Space Mountain is pretty good, though, and is probably coaster enough for my old bones.

I don't think Screamin will be back by that time, unfortunately.
The opening date is still To Be Determinded.
There isn't even a date in the cast member reference guide.

According to a Screaming mech.....they are trying to get it up and going by October.
Hopefully that ends up being true.

Purely speculation, but I would bet that if there is any way to get Screamin up for the holiday high season, they will. It is too much of a marquee ride to be down unless there is just no way to get it back up safely. I would guess October would be a lower priority.
Wow. Thanks for the replys, everyone. Unfortunately, I'm a fan of DCA and love to enjoy it for what it is. Except for the fact that without Screamin, the park is pretty bare bones from Bugs Land on.
Well, on the bright side, I won't have a need to walk all the way back there. I guess that's something.
From what I have heard from my sources that work CA Screamin, they have told me that the ride is scheduled to reopen in November. It turns out that when CA Screamin opened with DCA in 2001, they have never been down for refurbishment. So basically, that is what they are doing right now.
