In the offseason that's probably all they need.

It's funny ... you complain about FastPass ... but then they take it away at DCA and it's yet another excuse to bash DCA ...

I really don't understand why they dont phase out the rest of Fastpass. It really is a pain on ALL rides.

I don't see anyone complaining or bashing DCA (which is all too easy to do). It is just a comment about the changes that have taken place today. No need to get crappy on us.

As sad as it is to see the Tower of Terror not needing Fastpass, it was even walk on in the middle of summer at times...hopefully all this revitalization going on will help the park.

A reason to try and do away with the whole program.

It's really a pain. Especially if you have no idea what it is.

Re: DCA down to just ONE FP during the week

I think that one's only reaction to the news is sadness. I think that ToT is a great ride. DCA is not really the issue. It is the location of ToT in DCA. It is a dead-end. Unfortunately, dead-ends have shown that they don't work because people don't like backtracking. Country Bears suffered from the same problem. Perhaps Pooh suffers too, but maybe more so because of the type/quality of the ride.

Because Disneyland was designed sort of like a wheel with spokes. Movement seems to be easier. Now Walt himself originally did not like the idea of movement directly from Fantasyland to Frontierland. But as time has gone on, people like not having to go through the hub. The railroad also allows another flow around the park.

DCA plans for the future hopefully will allow a movement past ToT to some other location. I believe that will increase ridership for ToT. Monsters Inc might suffer the same problem since it seems like a dead-end there too. We will see.

Re: DCA down to just ONE FP during the week

Al wrote about this a while ago. They are only going to use Fast Pass on the rides that need it (and then only when it is busy).

Makes sense to me. Why run Fast Pass when it isn't needed?

Save it for Weekends, holidays, and the busy season.

Re: DCA down to just ONE FP during the week

I believe that they can totally get rid of fastpass on Mulholland Madness, Roger Rabbit, and Autopia. And maybe even Buzz further down the line.

At Mulholland, fastpass simply clogs up the constant moving line, and I doubt it gives out the total amount of fastpasses it allows for each time limit.

Roger Rabbit it's flat out worth walking through the queue for the ride. I'll wait whatever to experience that queue.

Autopia, either I always get lucky or the line never gets over 25-30 mins. And once again I'd think fastpass simply clogs up the line there.

Fastpass on Buzz works for now, but think about it, if they totally bust out the fastpass queue and machines, build a building around that area, you can have a longer indoor queue insead of standing way more than half the time outside watching the people walk by. And since it is ALWAYS moving, its not such a bad idea is it?

Or maybe I just wanna see fastpass gone and I am simply bias towards it. I say if not nessary, it should go away!

That's true for a lot of things in life. Hopefully the pain motivates you to learn something about what you do not know ..... nobody has to be ignorant about FP ....

And what is the reason to throw out the whole program? I missed something ....... or are you saying "the pain" is the reason? I think too many people feel something other than pain when they know how to use FP.
